20 x Cat Toy Realistic Fur Mice

20 x Cat Toy Realistic Fur MiceThese mice don't have the plastic eyes that can be harmful to cats if swallowed & is a great bargain!

We have two young kittens who love to place with fur mice. Previously we would grab one or two mice from the pet store when buying food or litter and let them play with them until they needed to be replaced (after the cats removed their tails and they were too gross, etc.). So we figured why not get a bulk package! Unfortunately, these mice are a little smaller than the typical mice we find at the pet store. This did not appear to be a bad thing, actually it seemed good at first since the kittens could bat them around easier. However,as a result of the smaller size our kittens are able to fit the entire mouse in their mouth and completely tear the mice in two. It appears as though the seam gluing the mice together on the bottom is relatively weak too but I'm not sure I would fault the manufacturer for this. The mice are filled with used cardboard or something (I don't want to think about where the "stuffing" is coming from) and we usually find half of the mouse body with less than the entire amount of stuffing. I'm sure they are eating much of the stuffing. As a result, we have resorted to only allowing the cats to play with the mice while we are home and have been tossing the "used" mice away before the kittens disembowel them. Once these mice are gone, we will not be purchasing this brand.

These are my cat's favorite toys, particularly the white ones for some reason.

Downsides: fishing them out from under the fridge, and waking up next to mice she wants me to throw.

Yup, I too love these Mieces to Pieces.

However like most other reviewers, they got lost under the fridge, and God knows where else... but they are gone.

I sat here the other day looking at the last two I found in my under ware drawer. Don't ask.

I thought to myself, now what can I do to prevent them for getting swatted under the fridge or my dressers (they are on 4 inch legs)or just plain getting lost?

Brain Storm. I took about a 14 inch piece of my satin neck cord I use for the necklaces I sell on eBay. I Glued each end underneath each mouse. I used Household GOOP and it will hold for life.

My cat loves it! She can swat one under the dresser, but the other one is out where she can grab it and run. She loves playing fetch with me and they are so easy to throw by the center of the cord. Both mice go flying and she goes crazy.

Also, when she swats one, it makes the other one 14 inches away move and that gets her attention and she'll pounce on that one. That makes the other mouse move and she goes after that one. She plays for hours all by herself now with them attached to each other by the Cord.

You just gotta try it.

Catnip Mouse - 3 pk

Catnip Mouse - 3 pkI don't know what it is about these little guys they don't look like much, but they are absolutely hands down the best catnip mice available. I've had cats for decades, and every single one of them has had the same opinion. They're awesome and inexpensive, too! The only down side is that they're small, so hard to find when they're batted under furniture, etc.

Easily the best toy for a cat. Every other playtoy is barely used compared to these. Dont bother buying anything but this.

Pet Safety Alert Pet Alert Window Decal 2 Pack

Pet Safety Alert Pet Alert Window Decal 2 PackUnfortunately, this is one of the only fire rescue pet decals I could find. It fades very quickly and becomes useless. But because I am very concerned over my pets safety I keep replacing them. But I think I will make my own sign now. Plus, $6 shipping for an item less than a dollar, that could easily be put in an envelope with a 42 cent stamp is ridiculous.

They are decals, not stickers. Which is WAY better. That way it doesn't leave any residue and you can move it around.

Finally, one that had a place for me to list my birds as well as my dog and cats.

It also has a space for other types or animals.

I love the stickers but I paid more for the shipping than I did the decal! When ordering I couldn't understand why it cost so much to mail until I recieved the decal. It came in a 4" by 6" box when they could have just mailed it in an envelope! I thought that was ridiculous and wasteful. Despite the shipping I am glad I bought it and I am glad there are companies that care as much for my pets as I do.

Wow, this is totally disappointing. The concept is fantastic, but the decals are NOT colorfast. I have had mine in the window for seven months, and the red color is completely gone.

I purchased playpen for little Yorkie-2-3lbs-to play while I am away at work---Great Idea---just enough room to play and potty if needed. Although, once I put my yorkie in the pen-within minutes he figured out how to undo the velcro on bottom and can easily lift up the pen and escape!--There is velco attaching the bottom part of playpen which is a poor construction. A better way would have been with an outside zipper instead just like the mesh top which has zipper. I had to return the item.

Bamboo Pet DAM660344 Fat Cat Strapping Flip-Flop Yankers Pet Toy

Bamboo Pet DAM660344 Fat Cat Strapping Flip-Flop Yankers Pet ToyFunny that this is called a fat cat classic when it should be called roadkill cat since it doesn't have stuffing in its center. Regardless of the name though, it is practically indestructible and a fun toy for the dogs in their tug-of-war battles.

My six-month old dachshund, Scarlett Rose, has destroyed more than her share of dog toys. Although no toy is indestructible, the Flip-Flop YANKER Fat Cat has come the closest. Rosie loves the toy, and the wicked kitty withstands the best chewing and head-shakin' abuse Rosie has to offer. My only regret: I wish I had discovered Fat Cat Yankers BEFORE she chewed through tens of dollars worth of playthings. (Seriously, some lasted only moments.) Our strappin' kitty is faded but far from worn; nonetheless, I plan to order a at least another for Rosie and a couple for two of her best canine friends.

I've been buying Fat Cat toys for a few years. My otherwise harmless pug has destroyed every other type of stuffed toy within an hour. Even other canvas toys aren't stitched as well, and it takes him no time to get the stuffing out. These toys are made so well, they last him months and months. Even when he does manage to get through one part of it, there is so much stitching between areas, that the rest of the toy is not ruined. My dog absolutely loves these toys and goes crazy for them.

We have a Pug that destroys every toy we buy him. This one is no exception, but it is by far the longest lasting and fun toy that he has. Anything with stuffing is pulled apart in minutes. This toy has some padding in the feet and tail and a thing in the head. They are all still in place after months. The color has faded and some threads appearing under the armpits. It will need to be replaced soon, but considering the hours of use this has been a great toy. It is made of canvas material and mainly designed as a pull toy, but with some creative folding and tucking the feet it can be a light weight toss and fetch toy too.

My 7-year-old daughter likes to play with Sky with the toy too. I would recommend it, but definitely pick it up if your dog decides they just want to chew pieces off.

Tagg-The Pet Tracker Master Kit, White

Tagg-The Pet Tracker Master Kit, WhiteCustomer review from the Amazon Vine Program I also have a Garmin GTU 10 pet tracker so I have the opportunity to take both for a spin on my cats and dogs.

This Tagg unit is smaller than Garmin. The design is nice looking and more hidden than Garmin while it's attached to the collar. So this Tagg is better for small pets such as cats or tiny breed dogs. What I don't like about the Tagg mounting is that it can snap off the collar if there is pulling on the latch, so I'm afraid I may lose it someday. The Garmin is in a secure fabric pouch but it's larger. If you have a tiny pet then this Tagg tracker is better.

The Tagg tracker communicates with the base unit to determine when the pet is close to home, unlike the Garmin which always uses GPS. Because the Tagg doesn't have to activate its GPS unless it is outside the home zone, the Tagg has better battery life. My Garmin lasts about 5 days before the battery runs out so I frequently have to take it out of the pouch to charge it. I haven't used the Tagg long enough to know how long the battery lasts, but after several days the indicator still shows full charge.

I like the actual tracking of the Garmin much better, however. When I want to know precisely where my pet is and the history of its tracks, I can see all the location updates on the map and it is really interesting to see where the pet has roamed the neighborhood when it escapes. The Garmin web and iPhone software is nicer and has more features than the Tagg software. The Tagg tracking history feature is pretty weak in comparison because it will only save a little bit of history only when you click the button, whereas Garmin keeps the track history all the time. Garmin has smoother email notifications -when I use the Tagg email notifications sometimes I get repeating emails with the exact same info. I prefer the Garmin web tracking map; it can be expanded to large size, but the Tagg web map cannot be resized.

The Tagg tracker is limited to a circular home zone, while the Garmin can use an irregular user-defined geofence. The Garmin is better if you have a large property that has a rectangular or odd shape (not circular or square).

If you have a tiny pet and just want to know it's safe or when to chase after it, and want long battery life, then I recommend this Tagg tracker.

If you have a larger pet and you want precision track history to know exactly which neighbor is secretly feeding it yummier food, and don't mind having to charge more frequently, then I recommend the Garmin GTU 10 instead.

I have had this product for about two weeks now, and would like to write a review for those who are thinking of getting one.

A few months ago, my Simba (a Shiba Inu) managed to get himself off-leash to chase a rabbit while I was walking him. He ended up in a juggle with full of woods and long grasses. He did not come back home that night. My wife did not get any sleep that night. Obviously she blamed all these to me, and I even heard divorce (I know...it sounds crazy). To make the story short, I was able to get him back from the woods the next morning after 2 hours of tree by tree searching. From this experience, I have been looking for a GPS tracking device for Simba. I want something small and light, and work with iPhone app. Nothing on the market comes close to what I was looking, until I found Tagg. Immediately I knew that this is what I have been looking for.

The product works perfect. It is very light and compact, and has a long battery life up to 30 days. You can attach it to the collar, and won't affect the dog's mobility (He is about 22 LB). With this product attached to him, I have released Simba to the woods in my backyard a few times for testing. I was able to know exactly where he was, and I could track him down if I needed to. The accuracy of tracking is amazing: within a circle of 3 yards. One time, the tracking device got lost while Simba was running in the woods. I was able to track down and find the device very easily.

So why did not I give a 5 star rating for this product? Here are a few things that you might need to be aware:

The tracking is static, not continue like a GPS navigation system. You have to activate it by pressing "Locate" in the App. It takes about 1-2 min to locate the device on the map. If your dog is running, you won't be able to see him moving on the map. Essentially, the GPS tracking function is performed on demand. While this is a drawback, but it is also probably the reason why it can have such a long battery life on such a small device. I think they can improve the product by adding a continue tracking mode.

What I dislike most about the product is its pricing scheme. The product kit (hardware) itself costs $98 from Amazon, very reasonable. But you have to pay additional $7.99 monthly service fee (Note that first 3-month is free) to use it. What comes with the service charge is email, text message notifications. You define a perimeter around your house when you setup the device. Every time when the dog goes out of the range, you will get a notification. While this is a nice service/feature to have, I don't find it is something I would pay $7.99 a month for. For a dog to get lost is an accident. It would not happen more than a few times a year. I would not want to pay a monthly fee for a few times of use each year. In fact, I would be willing to pay one time price of $200 for this product to avoid a monthly service fee.

I called their customer service about this month service charge. I was told that once the service is activated, I cannot deactivate the service. Otherwise, I would have to buy a new unit to activate the service again. In other words, to keep the device functioning, I need to have the service on all the time. If I deactivate the device after one year of use for example, I won't be able to use this device again by reactivating the service. This is totally crazy!!!

I am now on the fence as whether to keep it or return it. I hope the company will seriously consider changing the pricing scheme. I could see that they would lose a lot of customers with the current pricing strategy.

I dont usually review products because they rarely live up to their promise but this product is definitely as good as it claims. This product is well designed, simple to use and works flawlessly.

How it works:

So if you arent aware of how this things works here's a summary (some of this information is available on their website, and being an engineer some of it I just inferred myself). It comes with 2 peices a base station and a collar. The collar has a cellphone chip in it and a gps receiver. It can detect that it's near the base station and in this situation it wont activate the GPS (GPS burns battery power so this functionality is key to its excellent battery life). If the collar loses the connection with the base station (your pet is outside a preset Tagg zone) it will activate the gps and send a signal through the cell chip to Tagg and they will email or text message you with a low quality map indicating where your pet is. If you activate 'tracking' it will email/text you every 3 minutes with a new map. The emailed map is quite poor but you can also track your pet on an iphone or ipad. And because it uses a cell phone singal to transmit its coordinates there's no range limitations so your pet could run off to texas from washington and you could still track it. This service costs about $8/month for the first pet and $1 for each additional pet. That might seem a little expensive but most other products costs hundreds of dollars and require you recharge the battery daily and and are not nearly as simple to use and lack many of the features like notifications or alerts.

Now the Tagg zone is an area you setup on their website to indicate where your dog is allowed to go without setting off the alerts (emails/texts). It's quite large and must be circular in shape (i would guess the radius is about 250 feet) so if you hoped to get an alert as soon as your dog ducked under the fence that's not going to happen. Now if your dog is within the Tagg Zone you normally can't locate it using the 'locate' feature, however there is a button on the base station that if pressed will ask the collar to transmit your pets GPS coordintes to Tagg and you will get a notification.

My Experience:

On a single charge the tracker lasted 3 weeks and this included my dog being outside the Tagg zone about 6 times for a combined total of about 2 hours. Each time he left i got a notification about 3 minutes after i noticed he was gone. I would grab my ipad and jump in the car and setup the 'start tracking' feature which would update his location on the ipad app map every 3 minutes. Most of the time i was able to find him within 1-2 more updates and every time he was exactly where it indicated. 3 minutes might seem like a long time and it is if your tracking a car downtown but for a dog that's just wandering up the street it's more than enough.

When the trackers battery was low, Tagg emailed me and told me to recharge it on the base station, and when it was done charging it emailed me and told me to put it back on him. It's a bit bossy, but then again so is my wife.

Pros:

*long battery life even in tracking mode

*very accurate

*inexpensive

*works anywhere you have cell phone reception

*alerts for outside Tagg zone, low battery, etc.

Cons:

*tagg zone is quite large

*emailed map is poor quality

Notes:

*only transmits coordinates when u try to locate it or in tracking mode

*tracking mode only sends coordinates every 3 minutes

I have been using the Tagg pet tracker for a little over two months now on my cats. I will start out by reminding you that this product is made for dogs, however cat CAN use it with a little extra effort on the pet owners part.

I choose this rating because this product has changed my life for the better. I love my cats like my children. I work from home and am with them all the time however I can't watch them at every single moment. With the Tagg pet tracker I know where my babies are at all times even when I can't go look for them.

A few months ago one of my cats when into my neighbors garage and was unknowingly locked in the storage closet for 10 full days before he was discovered. Those ten days where some of the worst of my life. I took and entire week off of work, spent hundreds of dollars making and distributing flyers, walked over 30 miles on foot, and spent hundred of hours in a frantic search for him. I covered miles on foot and turned an entire city upside reaching 1000s of people. I went into debt trying to find this cat. All of that time, money, and all of the tears I cried over those days were a waste because the cat was next door to me the entire time. With the Tagg tracker I know that this will not happen to my family again.

Yes my cats are going to run off, they are going to go into garages again. I live in a subdivision my cats have a cat door and stay in my yard and garage for most parts of the day. After using my tracker for only a few weeks I know where my cats go when they do sneak off. I know their hiding places, I know that every morning one of my cats walks over the next block and sits in the forrest for about 2 hours. She does this every day. Simple things like that are what makes this such and amazing tool for pet owners.

I have only used this product on cats. I am a cat lady to the core. The program and product is designed for dogs. As a cat user you will have a few issues with this system however you can easily over come the issues.

The tracking device is a little too large for the average cat, and cat collar. My cats do not seem to be bothered by it, however on a cat it hangs low, so the cat will drag it on things, it was getting hung up on stuff, and caused a problem when the cats would drink water because it would be in the water while they tried to drink. THE SOLUTION I purchased a simple inexpensive cat harness. The type you would put on them if you were going to talk them on a leash. I attached the Tagg tracker to the back part so that it is like they are wearing a little back pack. It was a little awkward at first however the cats adjusted after about a week of wearing it. The cats look super cute in their new harnesses, and if someone does see them walking about they tracker is easily seen so they know that the cat they are looking at is very important and loved by someone. Also if you do ever need to go into the dark and search for your cat the Tagg blinks bright blue and red while in tracking mode. With the unit on their back it is like a beacon and I can see it from blocks away.

I know this is a long review. I probably write a book about this product and how great it is and how much I love it. I suggest you purchase one and try it out. Each system comes with a 3 month trail of the service. If you don't like it return it.

Want Tagg-The Pet Tracker Master Kit, White Discount?

I have four Labradors and live in the hill country of central Texas. After one of our pets ran away for a day, we decided to try the Tagg product. At first all was well, for about a week or two. Then we noticed that the batteries in the trackers would only last a day or so(24 30 hours). We went through months of trial and error, working with support, trying to troubleshoot this issue, and eventually replacing three of the four trackers we had, to no avail. My suspicion is that the charging/base station had some sort of problem and could not easily 'see' the trackers, even though all of my dogs stay within about 10 to 30 feet of it 98% of the time. What would seem to confirm my base station diagnosis was that when we had a tracker become detached from a collar one day, the iPhone app worked like a champ and led me directly to the tracker out in the woods. It had become detached while the dog was rolling in the remains of something dead... oh joy. So the cellular system had no problems keeping up with that tracker that day, but can rarely keep up with the base station.

The batteries would fail and we would never get a "low battery" warning as we should, so we would not know it until a day or two later unless we were regularly checking them. Tracking them online was equally frustrating because the system could not really keep track of them properly; most of the time the online icons showing location would be a couple of days old or would show them being out and about when in fact they were sleeping next to the base station. This does not give you a sense of security when you know you might have to track a dog down...

Eventually(after approximately 2 to 3 months...)the Tagg support people basically gave up. They simply said that it is a cell coverage issue and we will not be able to do anything about that, so your batteries will always run down very fast. The escalation support person even acknowledged that it sounded to her like the base station was bad, but that they "had a process they had to follow..." and would not be able to replace the base station. She then said that she could offer me a full refund on all of our trackers, even though we bought them 7 or 8 months ago.

So basically (it sounds like to me...), they gave up and are getting us out of their hair so they no longer have to deal with us.

I think the product is a very good idea and is something I desperately want to use because of where I live. I spent months working with their support trying to get the devices to work as advertised, but failed.

Buyer Beware! YOU ARE NOT TOLD EVERYTHING ABOUT THESE UNITS BEFORE YOU BUY THEM. Tagg is owned by Qualcom, a huge soul-less corporation which is populated by drones who will follow their process to the letter, even if it costs them money or failure. If you live in a big city, you will probably have few problems. If you are out in the country where they can blame the cellular company for their failure, you may be out of luck. I hope you have better results than I did.

Just got this toy yesterday and my male cat loves it. The female isn't really into it, but she doesn't seem to like catnip much in general. The boy, however, couldn't stop playing with it and chewing on it. No tears yet, so that's good as he is a "power chewer." Wish it was a little bit bigger though because he likes to use his back paws when he plays too. Overall good toy and I would probably buy a replacement when this one goes.

Ethical Plush Fantastic Feathers Bird Catnip Cat Toy

Ethical Plush Fantastic Feathers Bird Catnip Cat ToyUpdate: While I was initially disappointed in only receiving one toy, I must admit that this is a superior toy. I purchased it after I left my cat overnight and she destroyed a similar toy of a different brand. That was why I wanted 3. However, I just left my cat for two nights and left this toy out for her to destroy in my absence. I was quite surprised when I returned. The toy was wet with saliva, attesting to it's obvious use, but behold!, all the feathers were intact, albeit a little dingy in color :) So I am changing my review from 1 to 5 stars. If a product is superior in quality then it is worth the money in my opinion. And, my cat loves it.

I know I should have read the description better, but I was disappointed to get only one toy. (I bought this before the previous reveiw had posted.) It was too much trouble to return it. This toy is cute, but in my opinion definitely not worth $7. I wish Amazon would change the picture. Even as I write this review and see the picture of the item on the side of my screen, it looks like you get 3 toys. Oh, well. Lesson learned.

Catnip toy is great, however the picture shows 3 toys and I expected to receive all three. Did not see that I would receive only one--without choice of color. Pretty pricey for only one toy!

These little birds are so stinking cute. My cats are big fans of any toy that comes with enticing feathers attached or trailing behind, so I bought these to entertain them during the long hours I am gone during the day. Well, they were thoroughly entertained. . .for about 3 days. By the end of day three only one of the three birds purchased was still intact. The others were torn at the seam and feathers were off.

Great toys, but they aren't going to last through what you might expect for regular wear and tear.

If you can find them for around $2-3 after shipping def get them! There is no vibrating mouse toy on the market that's worth $5 a piece. Trust me I have purchased a ton of these types of toys from all sorts of vendors and found that if you can get a decent one for $2 it's a steal, but anything around $5 is a ripoff.

Omega Paw Tricky Treat Ball

Omega Paw Tricky Treat Ball, LargeThis treat ball is probably not for every dog, but our 8 month old Shiba Inu puppy absolutely adores it and so do we. Our trainer recommended that we use a treat ball as a way to challenge our puppy and focus his energy on something "productive" (for him, at least). This does the trick better than any other similar product. It is very durable yet (unlike a Buster Cube) soft enough that nothing gets damaged as it rolls into walls, chairs and the like. We use it for half of his kibble at each meal. After about 4 weeks of daily use, our ball is starting to show signs of wear but we have gotten far more use out of this than any other "toy" we've purchased.

Our puppy is a high energy, very food motivated, tough-chewing, smart little guy who can get treats out of his Kong and open the child gate in under 5 minutes. But while this treat ball requires patience, our normally "A.D.D." puppy will persistently push this ball around the kitchen until he gets every last piece of kibble out. That can take 20-30 minutes. The ball does not make a good "chew toy" for a tough chewer (like our dog, who can chew off the top of a red Kong), however. We make sure to take it away after he empties it. Otherwise, it would never have lasted this long.

My dog quickly learned how to operate this toy, and has nosed it all over our 2400 sq foot house. I have left it down for them to chew on, but they seem to have more interest in rolling it around on the floor rather than toothing it to bits. They engage with this toy more than a similar toy that is cube shaped.

I love that I can fill this ball up with their kibble and they'll entertain themselves for hours pushing it down the stairs and around the house. It's a lot less noisy than the cube version. This toy is easy to clean up too, ran it right through the dishwasher with no problems. It was easy to teach them to bring the Tricky Treat Ball back to me for a refill when needed.

Ah, the power of positive reinforcement!

The activity of nosing it around so that treats fall out has resulted in treats falling out of the ball, while chewing on the toy has not resulted in treats, thus the behavior of rolling the ball is more likely to be repeated, and the chances of chewing reduced.

Brilliant! It means the ball will last longer!

This may be alright for a dog that does not like to chew, but our Olde English Bulldogge made short work of it. In about 20 min she had chewed THROUGH the ball to get to the treats. You also need to STUFF it FULL with treats or they will not come out no matter what you do. Obviously, she got so frustrated it was easier to make her own exit for the treats! Also, it has a really strong plastic-chemical smell for anyone who is chemically sensitive. Hope you have better luck than we did! :)

I've purchased five different food dispensing toys. The 5-inch IQ Treat Ball, the Omega Paw Tricky Treat Ball, Large, the StarMark Interactive toy, and the Premier Pet Busy Buddy Twist N Treat Dog Toy, Medium, and the Premier Pet Busy Buddy Twist N Treat Dog Toy, Large.

Please note that you cannot clean the insides of the StarMark or the Omega ball. Unless you want old gunk hanging around for months, these two toys will last ... very short. I kept each for only a couple of months before tossing them out. The only two I use to this day are the Premier Pet Buddy, Large, and the IQ Treat Ball.

Of all of these, each one has its benefits and shortcomings:

The Omega Paw Tricky Treat Ball is the perfect material for my dog he's not a huge chewer. It hits the wall and makes a gentle "thud" sound. However, with the new design, the hole that dispenses the food is much too large and dispenses a ton of his treats right from the getgo this is not enough to keep my dog entertained for more than a few minutes! The Omega Ball fits the most food I believe I can get up to a full cup of kibbles into it. Note that the only way to clean this toy is to put water in it and shake. I made the mistake of putting dishwashing liquid in it, shaking, and trying to get rid of the suds. It didn't happen the suds persisted. There's a tiny air hole on the other side... not that that helped get rid of the suds. I threw the toy away.

The Premier Pet Busy Buddy Twist N Treat Dog Toy, Medium is my least favorite. Whilst it also does not make a lot of noise, you can't necessarily control how fast food comes out because it relies on twisting it just rightand when the toy is knocked around, it untwists, and just spills out all the food, too well, at least makes the hole bigger so food comes out much too fast. This is my least favorite food dispensing toy. The Buddy is also the smallest you can only fit 1/4 to 1/3 cups of food in here if you seal it tight. The one great thing about this toy is that you can actually clean it.

The Premier Pet Busy Buddy Twist N Treat Dog Toy, Large, is my very favorite. It's sturdy, food comes out at a decent pace and when my dog knocks it around, it doesn't cause the opening to get bigger. I can put his entire meal inside this toy (unlike the medium size) easily and it's not a huge balancing act to make sure nothing falls out. I can clean it, and it doesn't roll away like the IQ ball into places my dog cannot reach. It's slow rolling so he can guide it easier. Plus, it's quiet and only makes a gentle thud. No matter the size of your dog, get the large. My dog is a 25-28 pounder. The large is much sturdier than the medium.

The StarMark Interactive toy is very large. You can fit a lot of kibbles in there. That's a bonus. Also, you can make the dispensing method more difficult in two places. However, you cannot open the thing to clean it and I certainly would NOT put water in there, as it's odd shaped, and I really don't like what may happen if I try to pour water in there and shake. I would highly recommend that you start with this toy rather than one of the balls if you plan on buying a StarMark toy. The reason for this is that my dog was used to rolling or pushing a toy to get his food out. So instead of gently nudging the StarMark toy, he would try to roll it, which ended up being really loud for me. He has never figured out that you just need to push the top to get the food out and just pushed harder to get the thing to roll.

Finally, the 5-inch IQ ball is perfect in the sense that it lets you control how fast it dispenses, but it's SO LOUD. My dog gets all worked up at the ball and gets very aggressive with it because of the loud noises it makes. He reacts to the noises and I think it gives him anxiety. Not to mention all the loud clanging makes ME have anxiety. I'm worried the neighbors will complain!

Another thing about the IQ ball is that because it rolls so easily and fast and furious when my dog pushes it and it is so small, it often goes under a piece of furniture so that my dog can't reach it. So much for keeping my dog distracted so I can do other things I often have to get up and get the ball for him out from underneath a piece of furniture. This was not a problem once for the Premier Pet Busy Buddy Twist N Treat Dog Toy and not so much for the Omega ball because it rolls more slowly and when my dog pushes it, it doesn't travel that far. Obviously this is not a problem for the StarMark toy, as that toy is quite large.

Finally, the IQ ball only fits about a 1/2 cup of kibbles. There is a white enclosure to manage the dispensing of food. You can fit another 1/4 cup above the white enclosure, but it's a pain because you have to make sure none spills over to the side before twisting hard to explain, but trust me, it's a pain. 3/4 cup of kibbles max, and only a 1/2 cup is easily put in.

Several months ago, we adopted a wonderful and VERY smart little mutt from the Humane Society. But it turned out she had separation anxiety. I work at home so it wasn't a big deal at first--but then I felt like I was stuck at home with a newborn baby--and getting extreme cabin fever! I had to pay a dog sitter just to go to the food store.

As experts suggest, I got this treat ball as a distraction. Initially she showed no interest at all--I kept pushing it around with my foot, treats would fall out and she'd scarf them up, but she just didn't get the idea of pushing it around with her nose--for months. Then suddenly the other day, she just got it. Now she loves it and will play with it until it's empty. She even learned that if it gets stuck (like against the wall or under a chair), she just picks it up with her mouth and takes it to "open ground."

I have no idea what made her suddenly learn, but I'm going to purchase several of these balls to have around. (Because the only problem is that she pushes it somewhere out of sight--like under the bed--and I lose track of it.) I highly recommend this treat ball!!

DuraScoop No-Spill

DuraScoop No-SpillI absolutely LOVE this litter scoop! I have owned one for at least 4 years now and it was getting a bit worn out, so I've been looking for a replacement in pet stores for a while. I could never find them in stock so turned to Amazon and was really excited to find them available. I was astonished to see that my favorite scoop got such low reviews from others!

The big advantage to this scoop is that by sliding forward the under layer, it creates a shovel that won't drop any mess back down into the litter box. I have had two cats now who like to pee near the bottom of the litter which makes the litter stick to the bottom of the pan. If I try to scrape this up with a regular scoop, small loosened pieces of saturated litter end up staying in the pan and make it necessary to completely dump the litter more often. With this scoop, I shake the loose litter away from the stuck-on area, slide the bottom of the scoop up to make a shovel, and then scrape everything up without worrying about any of it falling back down into the litter box. For solids and free-floating clumps, I open the slats and let the unused litter sift through.

I will say that I was surprised how stiff this one was to slide back and forth compared to my 4-year old heavily used one, and that might be contributing to other reviewers having some difficulty getting the openings to the size they want. I fully expect the scoop to loosen up a bit in just a little while, and then I will have no complaints at all. I HIGHLY recommend this product!

This little product has made a dirty job a lot easier. It is solid enough not to bend under the weight of the cat litter, and flexible enough to scrape stuff out of corners. I don't really use the sliding back feature, but haven't removed it as it helps keep the scoop rigid.

Buy DuraScoop No-Spill Now

The underside of the scooper bends and comes loose, making the scooper useless. When you think about it, the no-spill feature is really useless in the first place... The litter is supposed to fall out.

This thing is a joke. Within a couple of weeks, the plastic "sliding" part began to bow and bend out of shape, to where it wouldn't sit flat against the other part, so litter kept getting stuck in there. It's heavy and awkward compared to other scoops, and difficult to keep clean because of all the spaces and gaps between parts. I tossed it and went back to a regular scoop.

Want DuraScoop No-Spill Discount?

We are a multi-cat family and needed a scoop to work with our scoopable cat litter. The "adjustable" slots are a joke. The slots are too large in the fully open position and once you adjust them to be smaller the litter does not sift at all. Don't waste your time or money on this if you have cats.

Nina Ottosson Dog Treat Maze

Nina Ottoson Treat Maze Interactive Game for Large DogsI must admit that I thought this would be something that my dogs would sniff around for a bit and then give up on, but I was more than pleasantly surprised. I used very small bits of salmon jerky as the treat inside. I wanted to use something high value that they would ONLY get in this particular toy, and something that they could really smell (salmon jerky stinks, y'all). It took them a little bit (about ten minutes) to work out the fact that they needed to move it around and the threats would magically and randomly appear, but once they figured it out it was game on!! I've never seen a toy that keeps them occupied and busy for such an extended period of time, and the best part is that it stimulates their brains as well as making them move around. My Boston Terrier will literally play with this for an hour before she passes out in exhaustion.

They say that a bored dog is a bad dog. Well, there are no more bored dogs in my house.

It's easy to clean, too. I just run hot, soapy water through the holes, and it's good as new.

I'm going to give one of these to every person I know who gets a new dog. (Unless they buy a puppy from a petstore. Then I'm going to stop being their friend, period)

This toy is sturdy and durable, it is not so hard to get the treats out, I bought it because of the size, I thought that it would keep my GSD busy longer. I already have the busy buddy twist and treat, which actually keeps her busy longer because you can adjust the toy for the size of treats you are using. I placed some kibble in the Ottosson Maze and they came out very easily, so it wasnt a lot of work for her. I gave 5 stars because of the construction and size of the toy, but the difficutly level is more of a one star. I probably wont get another.

I actually bought the cat version of this toy since it's the same size as the small dog version but a little cheaper and I liked the colors better. I'm really pleased with this toy and my dog loves it! It can be noisy, particularly when filled with hard kibble and/or used on a hard surface. The noise did scare my dog at first but after working with her and a bit of encouragement she eventually got it and now it's her favorite toy!

If you know your dog is a chewer and you want toys to keep them occupied while you're gone you should probably look at a different product, like stuffable KONGs. It is made of plastic that could easily be destroyed by chewing. That being said, this toy is not meant for use without supervision. It does come with instructions for teaching your dog how to properly play with the toy, which will tell you it's meant for manipulation with paws or a nose.

Think about what your dog needs in a toy and if this toy would fit their needs. Are you willing to spend time to teach your pet how to use the toy and supervise them while they play with it? If its a good fit you will have a new favorite toy :)

This is the worst and most expensive dog toy I have ever bought and will probably be the last. When I pick out toys I try to buy something that is sturdy. The Kong brand is the way to go for sure.

This product is beyond flimsy. If you have a dog that weighs less than 10 pounds this might be a good toy for you. I was so excited to get this product and it was in pieces within 20 minutes. The blue edging also comes off so easily.

I do not recommend this toy for dogs that like to chew anything or it will come apart.

I did not purchase this product from Amazon, but from a pet store. I spoke to a salesperson about the breed of dogs I have and that they need indestructable toys and toys to keep them busy (without being attented to constantly). She recommended this toy. My larger Doberman (90 lbs) had it figured out in seconds and the treats were flying out left and right, it was empty almost instantly. My smaller Doberman (50 lbs and a 10 month old puppy) wanted to chew it where the treats came out and even in my presence had it chewed almost immediately. The toy went back. I was at that time instructed that it was a training toy and they should always be supervised while using it. The box shows a hammer and it says it is "tough and hard wearong"...not if your dogs like to chew, and not for $19.95 only to be ruined in a few minutes.

Neko Flies - Kragonfly with Rod - Interchangeable Toy

Neko Flies - Kragonfly with Rod - Interchangeable ToyI recently purchased this item for my 6 year old male cat, who is as rambunctious as a kitten. He LOVES it! He chases it around the duplex, up and down the stairs, and from one side of the couch to the other. He is constantly chewing on the Kragonfly's wings, but they are made of a tough plastic-like material and remain attached. I've had other cat wand toys that broke within a week but this one is holding up really well. I'm impressed that the interchangeable toy clips onto the wand (rather than snap on using the metal link chain) as it seems sturdier. The string between the Kragonfly and the wand is quite long and the Kragonfly is small enough to resemble an insect but large enough for the cat to easily "catch" it. I'm so happy I bought this!

***UPDATE September 2012: My cat still enjoys playing with this toy, and although there are a couple permanent kinks (i.e. bite marks) in the string connecting the Kragonfly to the wand, it is holding up well!***

My youngest cat won't leave this thing alone, we have to hide it in the closet at night so he doesn't chew it up! The dragonfly has only come off the rod once, and we just tied it back on. A lot of fun, although one of my cats is scared of it!

15" Kitty Kick Stix Cat Toy - Love My Cat

15' Kitty Kick Stix Cat Toy - Love My CatI have to actually put these in my cat's paws for him to play with. I believe they do not have enough of a catnip fragrance for him to attack.

Our big Maine Coon cat loves these stix! He can be pretty lazy most of the time, but when he feels like getting a few minutes of action during the day he jumps on one of these Kitty Kick Stix and starts jumping around and kicking it in the air. So much fun to watch! The catnip keeps his interest, and he always enjoys trying to hide them under furniture over & over again. He doesn't play with toys for long usually, but when he's in the mood he always goes back to one of these stix. They were very well made, and quite large which is good for our huge cat who loses small, light toys much too easily. Overall: a great product that I would recommend!

I have four cats at home and 2 of them love catnip and catnip toys. I have never seen them interested in this toy. I gave one away to a friend of mine for her cat. Very disappointed.

Update: My friend tells me her cat absolutely loves this catnip stick. So it depends on the cat. Her cat doesn't have a million toys like my spoiled cats do, so it probably appreciates the smaller amount of toys to play with.

My cats were all drawn to the sticks. They ignored them during the day but as soon as it got dark, they started showing interest in them. They seem to be drawn to them and like to lay on top of them and around them. They also use them to bite and kick so a kick stick is a good name for these.

KONG Straw Ball Teaser Cat Toy (Colors Vary)

KONG Straw Ball Teaser Cat ToyI got this at a local pet store, and the moment Princess saw it her eyes lit up, this was something she wanted! She bit and tore and in a couple of days, it was broken apart and spread across the apartment. However, Princess is still carrying the stick and the rubber band around wanting me to play with it, so we have had hours of fun with that. Hence my 3*, as it is actually entertaining her, just not the way it was intended.

My cat loves toys like these but this one I don't recommend to buy. I took this cat toy out of it's packaging, unfolded the string, and attempted to play with my cat and the string broke off the ball. My cat barely even touched it and it just came off. Upon further inspection of where the string was attached it looked like the string was attached with hot glue or something similar. Anyhow, I put the toy right back in the box and returned it that day.

I have two cats. They absolutely loved this toy. The straw ball is filled with catnip, and they love going after the feathers. However, literally on the first time playing with it, the feathers began falling out. And within a week, they had chewed through the ball. If this was more durable, it would be a perfect toy, but I can't afford to buy 52 of these a year.

Our cat goes through about one of these a month. It is a clever design and the materials are nice, but the construction is just very poor. The feathers are held together with a rubber band and the cat rips them out easily, 2-3 per play session. And the straw ball is very weakly held together, if you step on it, it's toast. But the cat loves this above all other toys, which easily gives it a star or two. "If it dangles, I mangles," he says.

I have 2 cats, my daughter has 2 cats and my son has one. I have never seen a toy that every cat loves like this one. They jump and run and really get a good workout. Great for sedentary indoor cats. Yes, it is made of straw and feathers so they can tear it apart. The secret is to play "keep away" as best you can, letting them catch it just enough to keep them engaged. This is a great way to get them exercising!

KONG Cozie King the Purple Haired Lion, Medium Dog Toy, Blue

KONG Cozie King the Purple Haired Lion, Medium Dog Toy, BlueI loved the way this little lion looked. Very cute and perfect size for my chihuahua-dachshund aka dahuahua(DUH-wa-wa). She loved it but immediately set to destroying it. She locates the squeakers and with a predator like enthusiasm begins to lick and chew until she can tear it open and begin to kill the squeaker. The problem with this toy was that my tiny dog with weak, small teeth took less than half an hour to rip it open and cover my couch with the Purple Haired Lion's insides. Poor thing never stood a chance. So the toy is not durable at all and the purple hair sheds pretty badly. It's bad enough to have to follow the toy around the house to pick up its foam but to also find purple strands of hair everywhere! I really wanted to like this one since the similar toys are also very cute but I will not be buying any of his friends and sadly he will have a short life in the toy bucket.

This is for a dog that only snuggles its toys. My dog had it DESTROYED in less than an hour. I posted pictures. He only weighs 17 poundsand made light of this "durable" Kong. DO NOT BUY FOR CHEWERS!

I like to think that anything associated with Kong is going to withstand the play of big dogs, unfortunately, I can't find much that actually does. This lion was so cute and my dog loved it for about 5 hours!

Despite determined chewing, this toy is holding up well. It feels like the appendages are standard Kong chew-resistant material, but the body (with the squeaker) is a bit sturdier. Despite my dog trying her hardest to rip up the toy, only one leg has surrendered. A better track record than most other toys! It looks like this is a good toy for medium-chewers; It won't hold up to strategic chewing but also isn't eviscerated in an hour.

I bought this for my black mouth cur when she was a puppy. She absolutely loved this toy so much! Eventually she ripped all of the stuffing out of it, but i knew it was going to happen. It is a kong, but it is not an indestructible toy. If you are looking for a soft toy that can with stand a lot look at the skineez. I ended up just now (a minute ago) purchasing a new one. I know she will destroy it, but she will be so excited to see this toy again. She is a like a little kid with this toy :). Do not expect this toy to last a long time if your dog likes to chew, but it is very cute and it is very fun to watch the pup play with the lion.

JW Pet Company Arachnoid Ball Dog Toy (Colors Vary)

JW Pet Company Arachnoid Ball Dog ToyI bought the JW Arachnoid Ball Dog Toy yesterday from a local retailer. I wish I had read the Amazon reviews first, as I'd heard great things about JW. This toy lasted one minute before three of the protruding nubs were torn off. Like other reviewers, I am thankful I was right there to take it away before Jake choked. This toy should be recalled.

Actually 100s of pieces of garbage. This may be the least durable dog toy I have ever purchased. Annihilated in a matter of minutes. They should stop selling this worthless junk. Appalling.

My dog is a 16 pound Dachshund mix and within FIVE minutes, he had chewed off one of the yellow ball-like things that protrude from the middle of this object. I'm thankful that I saw the piece lying on the floor after he chewed it off, rather than finding out he ingested it. Does this company test their products? Shame on them.

I'd agree with the other reviewers who say that this is not a toy for independent play. That said, my dog loves to fetch it despite being fairly uninterested in fetching most other toys. If I ask her to, Fern will normally fetch a ball a couple of times before "losing" it and deciding to go do something else. This is the first toy where she'll actively search for it and will keep playing fetch until I decide that it's time to stop. I do sometimes let her keep playing with the toy when I'm in the same room for a short period of time (just so that she doesn't start to guard it at the end of play). Despite the fact that she can get the squeaker out of most toys within 30 seconds, this one does seem to last for her. However, when I'd forgotten she had it and left it with her for 30 minutes, she had it quite thoroughly destroyed as with the other reviews. I'd say pick something else if there's something else that your dog likes. If not, give this a try, but in a supervised setting.
