My cat liked it so much I bought another one for myself and one more for my friend's cat as a gift.

One of the "arms" broke off within 1 minute of my kittens playing with it and there was no way to fix it

I have one cat that is hard on his toys. Within a minute, he had chewed through the string on one side and took off with the pom. The poms should be attached with something much stronger.

I found a toy like this when Molly first came into our home and she loved it. The idea of using the pop-up base is genius for a cat's toy. Since Molly outgrew her first one, I was trilled to find another model that is a little bigger and affordable. She likes this one but the hard plastic construction has its disadvantages-the colors are not eye-catching, it is noisey on the floor, will break easier, and moves around too much. Her first one had a rounded bottom disc-like shape to it and a bright yellow springy post with a butterfly on top of it to swat at.

I like the idea of having the two long ends with the toys hanging from each but she looses interest in them quickly because the balls are small and not very colorful (birds w/ feather tails and anything metallic and bright w/noise is more interesting to swat at).

However, for the price, it is a good interactive toy for your kittens.
