Super Pet Guinea Pig Igloo Hide-Out, Large, Colors may vary

My pet hedgehog loves this igloo! Although this product is sold for guinea pigs, any small animal can use it. I have placed it in his cage and he now enjoys pulling the bedding into the igloo to make himself a nice cozy bed! The igloo is great because it is plastic, so it is easy to wipe up any messes that a pet may leave behind. My only complaint would be that you can't pick the color of the igloo that you receive and I ended up with a pink one. Pink is a great color, but not the first pick for my male hedgehog!

I'm sure for some guinea pigs out there, this is a great napping spot. I gave this to my guinea pig thinking it would be a great napping spot for her. It's not. It's a giant play toy.

When she wants attention, she climbs on it and squeaks to the world. Loudly. I suppose it's as close as she can come to a podium.

The rest of the time she spends flipping it upside-down and sitting in it. She flips it over, sits in the middle, and I swear I hear her GIGGLING. I will flip it back, and half an hour later it is upside-down again. I think they should redesign the product to make it harder to flip over. Sometimes I have to flip it back several times a day!

Aside from the too-easy-to-flip-over, though, it's a good product. When I try to pick her up and she hides inside, I can see her in there, giving me her beady-eyed glare. There's probably room in there for at least another, if she ever brought company over. I will sometimes stuff it full of timothy hay, and she will burrow a little tunnel in there. (Until then she gets bored and flips it over.)

So one way or another, your guinea pig will enjoy it. My guinea pig won't nap in it -she plops out in the corner outside it -but she seems to enjoy it anyways, so I suppose it's money well spent. If only she could flip it back again after she flips it over...

I have two guinea pigs and they each have their own igloo. They are very easy to clean. The guinea pigs act like hermit crabs and drag their houses around. The igloos are lightweight and I don't have to worry about them getting hurt on sharp corners.

I have a nederland dwarf bunny and she loves having this igloo. It makes her feel safe to hide in when there are frightening loud noises or anything scary happens. She also loves to climb on top of it and sit up there (rabbits love climbing/being high up). It takes up quite a bit of space but it's worth it.

Ive been keeping various kinds of small animals (rats, mice, ferrets, etc)for about 8 or so years now, & I still have some of the original igloos that I started with & newer ones to :D.

These are great hide-aways, & ive never had any small animal not like & use them. During the winter I will give my critters fleece scraps or small animal bedding from a pet store so they can cram it all into their igloos & they love it.

They are also easy to clean. To clean them, all I have to do is either soak them in soapy warm water for a bit then scrub with a sponge & rinse, or if their not too bad I just go over them with disinfectant wipes with stuff that wont harm the animals.

Thankfully most of my rodents & weasels havent been big chewers, but I did have one cage of female rats for a while that decided to go on a chewing rampage, & their victims were the objects where they slept (hammocks & igloos). They totaled quite a few sturdy hammocks, but the worst they did to the igloo was leave countless teeth marks & some small open gaps on the raised squares on top of it. I still have that igloo & I now use it for another group of rats that I have & its only other problem is that it has faded a little but none of my other igloos, older or newer, have faded at all so I think its just an odd ball.

Definitely something I recommend for all kinds of small critters!
