71" Tall Cat Tower Color: Gray

Well made and good looking, was packaged well and arrived in perfect condition. Multiple levels provide variety, but the younger cat likes sleeping at the very top with the view it provides. Fit and finish of carpeting is very good. Tall relative to base size, but seems to be quite stable. Was looking for something that would give a shy rescued cat a feeling of comfort and security, this quickly became her favorite place.

We have 8 cats. The small closet in our living room is a dedicated "cat space" which already contained a hollow cat tree, and we had room for one more tree/tower in there to give them all places to hide. When I found this item, I did some measuring and found that it was exactly the right size. It slid right in next to the cat tree with no problem, and now the closet is a real kitty paradise. The cats took to it immediately, and loved being able to hide and go up on top for a bird's-eye view. I especially like the corner cut-out that goes from bottom to top, so the cats can climb all the way up from the inside.

I examined the item in detail once I got it unboxed the whole thing is very sturdy, with good, clean seams where the carpet joins. The dangly toy that comes with it is tougher than it looks. It's very well made, and has stood up well to our rough bunch.

Something to consider, especially if your cats are heavy (one of ours is 20 lbs) and/or play vigorously the small 17" x 17" base means it might tip over if it's not secured in some way. Ours sits in a closet, so it's supported well enough for our cats to safely do whatever they want. I'd recommend that, putting it between furniture (like reviewer N. Dillard), securing to a pole/column, or securing to a wall if you want it more free-standing.

Only one complaint, but it's a minor one. The tower smells very strongly of wood, glue and carpet when unboxed the odor went all over the house. I had to let mine sit outside for about 36 hours before I could place it permanently in our living room. A small inconvenience, as far as I'm concerned, but still worth noting, especially if you're sensitive to chemical odors.

Overall, I'm very happy with this item. I recommend it to all my friends with cats, and I'll probably buy another one eventually.

I have two very hard playing cats. One is Domestic Shorthair and then a beautiful Bengal. Both play hard and love to climb. I now have two 6.5' regular cat trees and this heavy, well made Hotel. My cats love this and both slept there last night. I recommend this very highly. It was shipped as it looks no putting it together, and packaged well. It is so well made I cannot believe the price. I would buy another one of these before any other cat tree. Great for any size of cat.

I ordered this tree for our front entry area for an outside cat. The tree arrived fully assembled, and it looks exactly as depicted in the picture. The tree is very heavy and stable and the materials are good, my only concern is that the open platform area (I guess it would be the third level) is quite high, and it's not easy for my cat to get to the 4th enclosed level. Other than that one issue I am very pleased with my purchase.
