SturdiBag Pet Carrier, Large - Navy

We've used this bag for several flights with our 17 lb Boston Terrier. She has long legs, but it able to move around well enough because of the length and width of the bag. She cannot stand fully, but well enough for the airlines satisfaction. It squashes down to fit under the seat, but that makes it spread wider. Since she sleeps curled up anyway, the length and width of this bag suits her well. Once in flight I pull it out a little from under the seat, between my legs, so she has more top space.

It is sturdy, easy to clean, and easy to carry due to handles and shoulder strap. The flaps allow great ventilation, easy access for petting, and we can close the top ones to make it dark for her to relax and sleep. When we take her on long car rides we put it on the seat with the end open and a blanket on the seat next to it. She comes and goes from the bag, choosing to take her naps inside the bag.

This is the Cadillac of pet carriers! I have two aby cats and they love it! I was impressed with this carrier's craftsmanship and features well designed.

Bag is substantially lighter and easier to carry than other carrier bags, but still looks too large for a carry-on bag. It could use additional windows in the sides, and an additional entrance way. This bag has the right looks--it looks like a gym bag and no questions will be asked about the contents in public!--and the right carrying mechanism, but it could use the slightly smaller size and additional windows and entrances of the PetGear World Traveler. Sadly the Sturdibag products are made in Vietnam and not in the USA. PetGear, worse yet, is made in China. Wish I could pay an extra $20 for a completely american-made product in either case.
