Kyjen Outward Hound Car Booster Seat

I think this would be a great little booster seat for dogs that enjoy sitting and watching out the window. It was easy to install, and seems to be well made. If you have a dog that would sit calmly then I would highly recommend it. However, if your little dog is extremely hyper like mine is, I wouldn't try it. It has a safety strap with a clip to keep the dog from jumping out, which is great. But when I took my Yorkie for a ride in this seat, he kept flipping through the air until he was hanging himself from the safety strap. I had to keep pulling over and un-winding him. So while it is a great seat, it won't work for every dog.

I bought this because I have a little shih tzu. He would sit in the front passenger seat of my car when we went somewhere. He would stand up and try to see out the window and would roll the window down every time. That worried me a lot. Then, he wasn't strapped in, so anytime I turned or put on the brakes, he flew off the seat. He never got hurt, but I worried that he might one day. So, I started looking for a way to keep him safe. I found this and thought it might work. It definitely wasn't too expensive, so it was worth a try. I installed it very easily. It even came in green his personal color scheme :) so I was happy. I put him in the seat. I hooked him to the little latch. At first, he tried to jump out. But I just reassured him, and in seconds, he was calm and enjoying his new "chair." He can see out the window now. He doesn't fly around the car. And I don't worry about hurting him with braking or on turns. Sometimes, he gets so comfortable that he falls asleep in it. I like that the seat is easy to install and uninstall. It's easy to use and I would definitely recommend it to all small dog owners.

I purchased this car seat for my 7 month old, 5.5 lb. chihuahua. Before I purchased this seat, he HAD to sit on my lap... The first time I put him in his new car seat, he hopped right out, LOL. So then I hooked him in with the attachment that hooks on their collar. This kept him put..Well after only 2 car rides, he seems to be getting really used to it and even likes it. He looks out the windows when I'm driving. I am putting up some pictures of him in the seat where customers can add their own pics...also, this was VERY easy to install!

Bella (puppy) and owner are very happy with this product. Good construction and more importantly-----easy on and off. Before we had it, she jumped around wanting to see outside windows. Now, she is up high enough to see out and also room enough to lie down to sleep. Wonderful. Now she is an "easy rider" and she is not even from the 60's.
