My two rats love to nest in this thing, and it's the perfect size to fit both of them. They do chew through it rather quickly, but that is to be expected for a chew item.

My sister bought this for two pet mice at Petco. They like it and use it as their bed but she had to remove the little ball that dangles in the opening because it hit one of the mice in the face and hurt her eye. She's fine now, thankfully but it could have been a lot worse, seeing as the blades or straw that are woven together to make the hutch are a bit sharp cornered. But once my sister removed the ball, everything was fine.

It could hold one porky hamster or a few little robos.
