The Go Cat Kitty Bopper Fur Toy: from the maker of Da Bird Products

We have a two year old, very active kitty. My singing teacher sent one of these toys to him (via me, his dad) for a treat. It is his favorite toy. When he comes in from his outside adventures (we live in the countryside), he either leaps in a dining chair for pets or runs to the living room staircase in hope that we will bring out this toy and play with him. He likes to hunt and jump the fuzzy ball as we poke and jiggle the toy through the banisters. He loves it! Cat toys with feathers are OK with our boy, but he likes this toy better: he can grab and stuff the fluffy ball into his mouth, like catching a mouse.

Warning: he did eventually pull the fluffy ball off, but I found it easy to replace it with crazy glue.

I purchased this as one of several toys for my new kitten she is now just 13 weeks old. This quickly became her favorite toy she dragged it wand and all everywhere she went!

After less than a week, I came home today and found that she had ripped off the faux-fur puff ball and in so doing the end of the wand (which is spring steel wire) was exposed and has a very sharp end. Because of the tension and the reaction this is a very dangerous situation for a kitten.

I do NOT recommend buying this product unless you intend to utilize 100% supervision which is a challenge when dealing with a cat they play on their terms.
