Play-N-Squeak Batting Practice

I really wanted to like this toy. If it didn't have small batteries and brittle plastic inside the mouse I would probably give it two stars, as I can still use the string and the thing that goes over the top of the door with some less dangerous toy tied to it. But at this point I'm watching my cat closely, hoping he didn't swallow one of the batteries or some of the other parts that caused the mouse to squeak so realistically.

My cat Bowie destroyed this toy within an hour. As the last reviewer stated the joint is too week and it snapped off with one hard pull. After being taped back together, he then broke the stong in two and proceeded to put the battery operated mouse into the water dish. We have since taken out the batter, replaced the eleastic several times and fixd the joint with duct tape. It is his favorite, but I don't want to spent $10 everytime it breaks in two.

My 3 months old kitty really love this toy but it broke the next day. The "joint" of the suspender is too weak to withstand the pull. I just cut off the string and let my kitty have the mouse instead.

My cat was playing with this product. He finally caught the mouse and was walking away with it. The string snapped and hit him in the eye. This was after only 5 mins. I would not consider this a safe product for a cat.

I bought this toy 20 minutes ago and it's already broken twice. First, the string broke right in the middle and I had to tie it in a knot back together, then it broke again by the mouse detaching from the string. Wow. My 1 cat did this all by himself. Not only did it break twice, but it doesn't fit in any of my doorways properly. Also when my cat catches it, the string is very bouncy so the cat can pull it far and let go and it will smack the ceiling. I'm pretty sure this can hit someone in the face and hurt them if they are close enough. Also it keeps getting wrapped around the door handle and the "branch" part. So I have to go down there and fix it. My cat likes it, he won't stop playing with it, but too many flaws.

EDIT: Squeaker on the mouse broke from hitting the ceiling too many times. I wrote this review not even 10 minutes ago. This is going back to the store.

EDIT 2: Anddddddd the branch broke in half. Snapped right in 2. Wtf......what a horribly designed cat toy. I didn't even buy it 2 hours ago and it's broke.
