I attached this to a smooth clean counter top and all was well for a few minutes but just a very short while later as the cat was tugging on the toy the entire unit detached from the counter and fell quite hard, frightening the cat. I tried re-attaching it and giving it several tugs myself to make sure it would stay but it doesn't take much to get the suction cup to give way.I gave this three stars because this *might* be okay for a very small cat or a kitten; my cat is only eight pounds so your mileage may vary.

Cute idea, but our cat removed the little feather ball teaser toy within the first half hour. It just pops off the end of the little flimsy string in no time at all. The chirping and movement are great attracters but, once the cat is attracted, it's done!I bought this for my very active cat because he's a single cat and he was getting bored at home by himself (as evidenced by his constant desire to play and bite). He loves the DaBird wand toy (or any wand toy for that matter) and with the twitch being similar I thought it would be a good choice. I liked that the Twitch had a setting where you could set it to start moving every few hours so that my kitty would have something to do while I was away at work all day. Unfortunately the suction cup is not strong enough to hold the toy onto the non-porous flat surfaces in my house. Even after I cleaned the surface, cleaned & wet the suction cup and stuck it back on it didn't stay up for more than 24 hours. Also, my cat doesn't really like to play with it when it was up. This could be because if I'm home he'd rather play with me and the wand. He may play with it when I'm not around but I have no way of really knowing.
