This is the perfect car seat/booster seat for my 6 pound chihuahua! For the price you can't beat it! I wanted something to put my dog in while I was driving but still allow him to look out the window. The seat attaches to any seat in a vehical and the height is adjustable. The description said it holds up to 20 pounds but it is a snug fit with my 6 pound dog. The seat would probably not hold a dog much more than 10 pounds. The dog booster was delivered super fast, ordered it on a Sunday and it arrived at my house by Tuesday. I am very satisfied!

I purchased this for my 13 lb yorkshire terrier, Max. It was way too small. He was over twice its height and he couldn't even lay down in it. I suggest only putting up to 10 lbs of animal in this booster.

Like the others have said, I would suggest keeping the animal you plan to use this with under 10 pounds. My Shih Tzu is about 9 lbs., and she's small for a Shih Tzu. But this fits her perfectly! She's not too happy about the built in harness hook to keep her in the seat, but if I didn't use it, she'd just climb out and onto me! :) This allows her to curl up and sleep (which she has done every time so far), stand up and look out, or just be able to watch me, particularly if I have to get out of the car for any reason. She's up high enough that she can watch me go to the mailbox or open the garage, so she doesn't bark.

The only reason I gave it four stars is because I was a little disappointed to find out the faux sheepskin lining only goes around the top and maybe 6" down the sides. I thought it would cover the bottom, give my little girl something soft to curl up on. But no, the sheepskin thing is there for looks only. I have a towel in the bottom of mine for her to curl up into if she's cold.

The POSITIVE: The dog is comfortable in this, and it keeps her from roaming around in the car. If someone has to stop quickly, the dog may not go flying around and get injured. We got what we paid for.

The NEGATIVE: If anything more than a fast stop occurs, like a collision, the really cheap plastic hooks that hold the thing on the seat (and the dog harness to the booster), would probably break, leaving your pet to fly around and get injured.

The bottom line is that we got what we paid for. It's much better than just letting your pet roam around, and it's comfortable for them. But if you want protection in case of an accident, you will probably have to look harder and pay more.

The booster seat is okay but I should have spent more to get a better seat. This one doesn't sit on the car seat. When you hook it up the seat is suspended above the car seat and my husband had to fold a thick blanket under it to make it seem like it's not hovering in mid-air. The clip that attaches to a dogs harness is very stiff, I have arthritis and couldn't get it open so we have to replace that with something easier to handle.

My puppy is less than 4 pounds and just fits so if your dog is bigger get a different seat.

In all it's a good seat for the money but it's better to spend a little more to get a better made product.
