Kitty and I received this a Christmas gift. This cat spa comes unassembled. I found it easy to put together. It is light weight and I can see how it could be easy to trip over. We settled on putting it near his cat tree which is against a wall in an out of the way place. Regarding the green item being broken off, I searched for replacements after I got this and they are offered here on Amazon: Catit Design Senses Gum Stimulators 3-Pack. My cat has not broken it off himself and we have kept it out of the way after being warned from other reviews that it is easy to trip over and break that part off.Something to note, the catnip in mine did not come in the fancy bottle/container shown in the image here, it came in a little plastic tub. The catnip was much higher quality than I have received in other products and my cat likes it a lot more than the "saw dust" powder most products come with.
I set this down after I assembled it and my cat was curious about it but didn't seem to know what to do with it. When I put the cat nip on it he immediately began rubbing around and rolling all over the spa. After about three weeks I no longer needed to add cat nip to encourage him to use this. I've seen him leisurely rolling around on it, but he really enjoys the center bit with the green thing. He rubs on it and chews on it and seems to really enjoy it. It is still keeping his interest even now. Sometimes I will put some catnip on it as a treat and he does enjoy it very much, but I no longer need to put catnip on it for him to use it. It appears that he likes it.
Five stars from kitty, and five stars from me for keeping him entertained for as long as it has.
I was a little annoyed, after first, after I opened the box and could not find the top (teeth massager) part of it but I found it taped underneath the spa. Yay! My cat, Ella, was all over this. This is the easiest way for me to clip her nails. She is so "in heaven", as she rubs her chin along the side combs, that she doesn't notice my clipping her nails.
The reason I had to buy a third spa was that I either stepped on and broke the top massaging part or/and the cats threw up on it. I was afraid that this spa might be of lesser quality than the original ones, but it seems sturdy and suits my cats needs. They love it. I hope not to step on this one anytime soon.

This spa looked so good. My cat loves rubbing his face and gums on my fingers. I figured this would be awesome for him! The spa comes in pieces you must assemble. You have to attach pads on the bottom (one pad was missing from my box, but it didn't make any difference. Then you have to fill little pockets in the blue pads with catnip (careful it falls right out and makes a mess) and attach the pads to the base, which was very easy. Then put in the blue dome and the gum massager in the middle and sprinkle a bit of catnip in the well right under the gum massager. The result: My cat cleaned up all the loose catnap with his tongue for me, then he somehow managed to lick the catnip out from the well under the gum massager, and since then he has completely ignored this spa for the past 2 weeks. Sigh. It was completely wasted on him. Our three cats are 10-12 years old and did not show much interest in anything but eating and sleeping before my wife bought this product.
