This cat tree is not the largest one on the block--it's three feet tall, but it is very price-worthy and it has two platforms, a hideout (the tube on the base) and even a sort of cat tease, which I think is rather feeble but it is a sop to the cat's desire to swat at something flying or nearly flying. Personally, I'd remove it and encourage Fluffy to chase down and kill any and all flies he finds, and that goes for crickets double.
If you want a good scratch post and play platform, and you don't want to break the budget, this is great.Great tree for the price! Never understood why an assembly of platforms and rope should cost as much as you see for other cat scratching posts, so went for this cheaper one. And I am absolutely happy with it!
Easy to assemble, quick shipment, and most of all, kitty loves it! I agree, the tube on the bottom is probably too small for a really large cat, but works well for our medium sized cat. Plus, you can always screw it off if you don't like it. Our cat loves it.
I am amazed to read that other reviewers' cats don't use the upper platform, our cat loooves to sit there and gaze out of the window or just enjoys the view across the room from there. She has no trouble jumping on there either.
The dangling toys get used a lot too, the lower 'wool ball' didn't last too long to be honest but you get that with all dangly toys I guess, plus the string survived so we just keep tying other things there to keep kitty amused, or you could just cut it off.
On a last note, initially we were thinking of buying something higher than this 3' tree, but in hindsight I'm really happy we didn't because the higher you go the wobblier everything gets, and I've heard from a lot of 'high cat tree' owners that the upper platforms don't get used anyway, and that the whole tree is way too wobly and you have to lean it against something/ put it in a corner.
This scratching post is really stable, cat loves to jump and climb on it (and yes, scratch), it's the perfect size and height, I would definitely recommend it!

The total was $32 including free shipping. The shipping was really fast especially for the size of the condo. I have been trying to find a cat condo under $60 that was durable enough to survive three big feisty cats and big enough for them to climb and sleep on. Some reviewers said that the top level was too small for their cat to sit on but both my medium size cats can sit there comfortably enough to nap. My largest cat can still sit atop of it but not really lay down but he's a fairly large cat and he can nap on the first level. It has a couple of dangling toys which they play with a lot and its been over two weeks and they haven't fallen off which is pretty cool. The fabric it very nice and plush and not to hard to clean. It's sturdy enough for my 200 pound friend to sit on btw lol.The only negative I have is that it doesn't come with good instructions and you have to build it in a specific order but it's a really easy puzzle to solve and you can always find instructions online but I'll write down how I built it.
(instruction image)1. Take note that the box should come with three scratching poles with screw ends and one without a screw end. It should have three regular size bolts, one small bolt, and a double ended bolt. The base will have holes on three corners and one in the middle. The middle level will have three holes in the corners and the top will have one hole in the middles. There should also be a tunnel with a hole in the middle but it might be hidden with in the fabric. The box also comes with a little tool to turn the bolts but you might want some sort of monkey wrench when connecting the double ended screw.
2.You have to start assembly with the middle level. This level should be upside down(carpet facing down) so you can manually screw in two of the three poles with screws sticking out. You have to screw those two in the holes that DONT go all the way through the wood. The middle level has one hole that goes all the way through and is where the top level will be connected to. Even if you tried to screw in one of the poles, it wont tighten so you can tell if that pole doesn't go there. The pole with no screw ends will eventually end up being connected with the double ended screw. The middle level should be placed upside down with two poles sticking up. you place the one pole with no screws on the hole that goes all the way through but don't screw it in with the double ended bolt yet, you put it there so that you can align and connect the base.
3. Now you have three poles sticking up from the upside down middle level. From here you take the base, turn it upside down and align the three holes with the three poles. Be sure to keep the one unsecured pole aligned. Then you take three of the regular bolts and screw them in using the tool provided which will also secure the one pole that wasn't connected before.
4. Now you can turn the structure right side up with the base on the bottom and the fabric facing up. Here you take the double ended bolt and screw it into the corner where the hole goes all the way through. This is when you might need a monkey wrench or something since the double ended bolt doesn't have a head and it's hard to screw in with just your fingers. Once that's screwed in you can attache the remaining pole to the other end of the double ended bolt. From there you can attach the top level to the screw sticking out of the last pole.
5.The tunnel gets attached with the smaller bolt. It's a little tricky since the hole in the tunnel is covered with the furry carpet fabric which makes it hard to align to the middle hole of the base and hard to get the small bolt the grab on. I read that some people don't bother attaching it but I liked it so I went through the trouble.
Once it's all said and done you can feel how sturdy the condo is and it's fairly good quality. My cat's use it every day and I would buy three of them if I could. You can't really choose the color you want but I got a grey one which is really nice.

Product is only 33' not 36", which makes a huge difference whenputting it in front of the window I wanted. Item also arrived damaged/stained
and missing a couple bolts to put it together. It's definitely a cheap
product. Seller refused to reimburse for shipping already paid and
would not pay for shipping back to them. This cannot be beat for the money. Most of the Cat Tree / Condo / Scratchers I've seen are double the price. this was easy to put together, is stable, not wobbly and my cat was scratching it and playing with it before i was even done setting it up. I would have given it 5 stars, but the circle on the bottom level is definately too small for my 15 pounder.. however, it screws in separately so i may just take that out. also, being that my cat is a big boy I doubt he will ever jump on to the top platform..but overall.. Great product! Great Price!
