EliteField Cat Tree EFCT-2037, 24"L x 14"W x 37"H

EliteField Cat Tree EFCT-2037, 24'L x 14'W x 37'HI have 6 cat trees all through my home for my 3 cats and I have to say, this one was the least expensive and just as user friendly as the other 5. It was so easy to assemble that even I could do it in about 20 minutes. Instructions are simple and concise. My husband was shocked that I had it together when he got home and thought it was also a very nice addition for our babies. My youngest was playing in the upper hoop before I had it completely built and my little shihtzu sat on the base while I was building the rest. Pretty cute scenario. Anyway, all 3 cats have been on it and seem to enjoy it and it serves a purpose for them in a place they can jump up to when Sheldon, the shihtzu, wants to play more and they have had enough. Also, my cats are all about 9 10 pounds and it is sturdy enough to even withstand their olympic running leaps. Another plus, this company sent this in only a few days and it was packaged perfectly for safety and protection.

Let's face it: cat trees are the most expensive pieces of cardboard-covered-in-rope-and-carpeting that you will ever shop for. When I saw the (comparably low!) price on this one, I was a bit skeptical; however, it suited my budget and it was the height I was looking for, so I took the chance.

I don't regret it. This is not the end-all to cat trees, but it stands the perfect height to allow my cats to sit on the top and look out the window at the bird feeders. Much to my pleasant surprise, this piece is also delightfully sturdy. I have three fairly large (10-12 lbs. each) adult cats, and this tree does not wobble or seem flimsy when they sit on it. The middle platform is the perfect size for my 11-lb. male to sprawl on, and the top is a decent size for him to crouch in bird-watching position.

This was also very easy to put together. It came with absolutely everything I would need; I didn't need a single tool or piece of hardware aside from what was included in the box. I'm a scientist, not a carpenter, so anything that doesn't have blatant step-by-step instructions with pieces a five-year-old could handle is beyond me, but I had this fully constructed and ready for cats in a matter of minutes. That alone made it worth my while!

The reason this tree doesn't get five stars: the tunnel is absolutely useless for any cat larger than a fairly young kitten. I had hoped it would be the right size for my cats to snooze in, but it's barely large enough for them to climb through, and it's definitely not long enough for any one of them to fit their whole body into. I will probably remove it, because it's truly useless to adult cats. I'm also skeptical about the hammock; my cats haven't tried to sit in it, but I doubt it would be large enough for any of them to be comfortable.

Bottom line: if you want an affordable, low perch for an average-sized cat or a play tower for a kitten, you won't regret this decision.

My very active kitten Sophie took right to this new piece of furniture. It was simple to assemble and I think it looks very classy; nice color and fabric. I think she'll use it more once the weather warms and the windows are open. I am also very glad she is using the scratching posts rather than my sofa!

This arrived on time and was very easy to put together, even with the assistance of three curious cats. They're not sure about the hammock but they love to stretch out on the second level, reach up and claw at the 'tube'. The rope posts are a huge hit as each cat can now claw away at the same time. The top shelf is too small for any of them to stretch out on, but they use it mostly as a look-out I put this next to the sliding back door and they love being able to be higher and see everything going on in the apartment complex.

We have three cats, one small and two quite large. They all enjoy the tree. I loved how easy it was to put together. Took about 5 minutes! The only minor complaint is that the round tube at the top is really too small for any of my cats, but they love it when I put a mouse in that tube with it's tail dangling down. The cats also don't use the hammock, so I put their small toys there to keep some of the clutter off the floor.

This tree is quite sturdy and has not fallen (or threatened to), even though my cats take running leaps onto it.
