Twilight Cat Toys Mice 6pk

If your cat loves most toy mice, chance are he/she will love these as well. These mice are heavier than any other toy mice I've bought, and my cat, Loki, seems to like that about them. The weight is about what a real mouse (of this size) would weigh, and Loki loves to carry them around in his mouth. He still loves his old mice from PetSmart, but he plays with both types at the same time. These heavier mice he can knock around better and loves to drop them from higher levels (like pushing them off the stairs or under the railing onto the stairs) so he can them run after it. The weight also makes it easier for me to throw them longer distances for him to chase or fetch.

One other note: if your cat likes to put his/her toys in the water bowl like my weird guy does, these mice do not float and will sink to the bottom. They do not change the water color like rainbow colored mice, but I haven't yet had a non-colorful mouse do that. Loki always puts his toy mice in the water (a Drinkwell Pet Fountain) and later plays with the wet mice, but he seems to usually leave these mice in the fountain's pool. The plus side is this gives him more of a challenge to get his mouse out if he wants it before anyone pulls it out for him (the tail usually floats along the top), and if he leaves it in there I don't have wet mice in my bed.

EDIT: I have to change this from 5 stars down to 2. Today one of these mice started to fall apart while I was playing fetch with my cat. He laid it on my bed where he sleeps and I saw pieces falling off, all over my bed. I was shocked to see it was crumbling and appears to be made of clay. I don't know if it was because of my cat repeatedly putting the mice in the water or if my puppy loosened it up one of the times when she snatched it away before I could get it from her. Either way I'm disappointed because my cat really loved these, but I don't want little pieces everywhere and I certainly don't want him to swallow whatever this is made of. I would give it 1 star, but my cat really did love them and had some time to play with this one before it fell apart. He was temporarily crushed when I took it and threw it in the trash, but, being a cat, he got over it and went to sleep.
