My cat, Pepper, has always loved playing with the Hartz fuzzy mice until recently. When I purchased some from Wal-mart and brought them home, he would have nothing to do with them. I knew right away something was different. I opened up one of the little mice and noticed the inner parts had been replaced with a molded piece of plastic!!!! I immediately called Hartz and explained that my cat can tell that their product has been changed because the mice don't interest him at all any longer. I asked him if the old ones contained catnip and he said no -they were filled with paper pulp. I've looked everywhere for the paper pulp filled mice but they are no where to be found. My Pepper is so disappointed and so am I. Please call Hartz directly and express your dissatisfaction with these light-weight, plastic filled mice!!!

Glad I finally found these on amazon. I can't find them at the grocery store or pet store anymore, but they're the only toy my cat likes to play with. They are great quality and last years. Although highly beat up, we still have a few from at least three years back. They also make a satisfying sound when thrown, and have a nice weight to them.these are not the real fur mice that I used to be able to get....I only have a few old ones left and don't know where to get more. Does anyone make the ones with real fur anymore??? not to be gross, but my cat has preferences about these things.
