The description above states that is' ok for hamstersthis is for dwarf hamsters only. Too small for regular hamsters or gerbils.
I had two problems though, the wheel was not perfectly round. It's made out of metal mesh that is pressed together on one side, this side was flat and I had to bend it into shape. Also, the part that holds the wheel up is 2 skinny sticks of metal that your put through two holes in each side of the wheel, it was slightly bent and the wheel was crooked and I had to bend it into shape.
Besides that, this wheel is an excellent deal and will definitely buy another one when I start my rat colony for my Ball Python.

I liked the hamster wheel because it was low cost and it seems to work well, but my hamster doesn't know what to do with it and uses it as a chair. I don't necessarily think that this is a product design flaw, but I guess I didn't realize that I would be buying her a $4 chair for her cage.
