my title says it all...the mouse's hands (paws?) velcro together which didn't hold for 3 minutes, so i rubber banded his hands together around their cat tree.....my two 10-month-old kitties loved him and the sound he makes (like a baby cheetah chirping)...so much so that they wouldn't leave him alone until they pulled and bit and chewed him off the tree! his arm tore where it connects to his body.

so:

effective and fun? yes.

durable? not so much.

would i buy another? maybe if cost less, $7+ is a lot for a toy that lasted only a few hours...

Cat showed absolutely no interest in this toy is the reason why I'm rating it low. It seems to be well made and perhaps your cat will like it, but mine didn't. I would recommend you check out the JW Pet Company Spring String Cat Toy. It hooks on your door, and has a rubber gasket on the back to protect your door. My cat plays with these frequently and we have multiples.
