My dog is a chewer destroys most toys shortly after I buy them. Not this product. The first one I bought is over two years old and still in one piece.

I have spent hundreds of dollars on toys for my German Shepherd to fetch in the water. She can destroy most in a day or two, even the canvas retrieval training floats. I finally discovered this ring & she loves it. It is easy to grasp in the water & she does not swallow as much water as she does with her mouth open wide enough to hold a tennis ball. They really are virtually indestructible & she gnaws & crunches them all day long. (Yes, she is a bit obsessed with them, just as our other dogs were with tennis balls) The only time I had to buy new ones is when, after a year or so in the sun, she played tug of war with a friend & it broke. It still floated & she kept it for chewing but we needed a new one for throwing. I have, through 7 years, bought many of these as they get lost. We love them & I can't imagine how much money I have saved buying "cheap" toys!

I got this toy for my border collie who has a thing for tearing the material from a Frisbee. He doesn't play with it as much as I'd hoped, I think because it is on the heavy side. Otherwise, he does want me to throw for a while, it's durable.
