My five cats just love this thing. I am going to order a couple more of them. They take turns sleeping on the scratcher side, and instead of using my furniture to sharpen their little kitty claws, they use this! No other scratcher that I have gotten them has interested them more than this.

Our two cats enjoy kneading on the mat even though they both have their front claws removed. When not doing that the one cat sleeps with her head on the cushy part/edging. Very nice scratcher......

My cat loves this mat! She was trained to go there for scratching, but she also uses it to play games by either hiding toys under it and diving for them, or lying on it and playing with the yarn fringe on the side. I tried to replace it with a generic mat after being unable to find Big Mama locally, but Bijou just said "yawn" Thanks to this company and Amazon, I was able to purchase two-one for now, and a replacement one for down the road. The original lasted about 5 yrs, which is pretty good for a mat getting used daily on a constant basis. The company it came from shipped promptly, and everything arrived perfect. Thanks!

I really like this mat because its heavy and stays where I put it when my cat scratches it. It is the best one I have found.
