My kitten is teething so I bought this for her and she kind of half-heartedly gave it a chew or two once. After that she was no longer interested. Which was just as well because, although the product is really pleasing to the eye, it gives me the willies because it is very small and could easily be swallowed by a larger kitten. I had a cat once that chewed the end of a plastic hairbrush and swallowed it. She had to be operated to remove the piece from her intestines and it was a very expensive traumatic operation. She was lucky we caught it early and her intestines had not started to die off yet. But either way, it was a very dangerous situation for our lovely kitty and I would not want to see a repeat with any cat of mine or anyone else's for that matter. So, I would recommend, as an alternative, the Nylabone Puppy Teething Pacifier Chew Toy, Extra-Small which I got and which kitty pays more attention to, actually uses sometimes and is a much (!) safer product for her.

My 1 yr old cat has a chewing problem: if it moves, doesn't move, or is an object of any kind, he chews it. I thought that this might be at least a partial solution. It works. He has stopped chewing on me as much. If he looks like he want to chew on me, I can just toss it to him and he'll chew on it. I love this, and should've bought more.

I bought this for my little kitten who seemed to have a suckling obsession.....I was hoping it would stop her from constantly trying to suck on my neck! Unfortunately, she didn't go for it. I ended up having to get one of those travel pillows that wraps around your neck, so that i could use it as a "neck shield" if i saw her coming for my neck. LOL (i was desperate to break this habit before i had a full grown cat sucking on my neck!!) After much persistence, on both our parts, i finally won!! As for the binkie, turns out my 3yr old cat loves to play with it....she carries it around in her mouth, throws it up in the air, bats at it, you name it. Only bad part is that it gets lost a lot, but that happens with all their toys. She really enjoys when i "soak" it in the bag of cat nip for a few days! So i bought the binkie for one purpose but it wound up filling another.....in the end, everyone is happy! =^..^=

When we adopted our rescue cat, Maggie, we realized she was chewing on any surface available. I went online looking for a pacifier or something similar to ease her anxiety. This product arrived and she immediately began chewing on it. Now I keep them onhand and she knows which drawer they're in!

Be aware that the cat can chew through it so you need to check periodically and, when it has almost been chewed through, you need to replace it.

I try to keep this near the bed because when we go to bed is when our kitten decides to have a bite attack against us. She likes this, and it does seem to help with the teething issues. When it disappears, I'll often find my kitten has deposited it on my pillow, so she gets the idea too.
