The idea of a frozen toy is a good one, but freezing some knotted up towels would be just as effective. Don't waste your money. This sounded like a great idea for a teething dog, but it didn't work for either of mine. As another reviewer said, it's basically a fabric toy that you soak in water and freeze but the plastic bag ripped after being frozen, it thawed quickly leaving a wet mess, and most significantly, neither of my dogs were the slightest bit interested in it. I too would freeze an old wet sock instead.

We bought one of these when our corgi Faye was teething. She was chewing on everything, the couch, dvd boxes, the windowsills! She took to the Chilly Bone immediately. You could tell by watching her how much it soothed her poor gums. We actually bought two, and kept one in the freezer at all times. She is now three, and we still will pull one out occasionally, when she is bored.

For an eleven week old cocker spaniel with the teeth of a piranha and the attention span of a gnat, it's just OK.. It stays frozen for about four minutes tops, but the stiff and strong canvas material withstands a lot of chewing. That's a plus. Also, when it starts to thaw, she will flop down across it and cool her belly. I still think an ice cube works better for teething and is a WHOLE LOT cheaper!Want Multipet's 5.5-Inch Chilly Bone Dog Toy This Canvas Toy Discount?
