Actually got this for my two dogs, but the smaller one got scared the first time the waterer made the bubbling sound, and now he won't even try drinking from it. He's fine with the feeder. The larger dog will occasionally drink from the waterer, but the bubbling also startles her, and she prefers the water bowl I still set out.

But the cat loves the waterer. I haven't caught her drinking from the toilet since I got it.

The feeder/waterer are both sturdy and attractive, and I would highly recommend it for cats and non-timid dogs.

I had been searching for a good feeder for some time, but found most of them to be either too expensive, too hard to clean, or too bulky. While these have a sturdy base they are not clumsy. For the first time, I don't have cat food on the floor. They generally like to take the bites out of the bowl to eat them. This is no longer happening. Another bonus I wasn't expecting, was the amount the feeder holds. Six pounds didn't seem like much, but I have 8 cats and the container lasted a full week before it needed refilling. The same with the water. This alone saved me a lot of time. I had been refilling both their dishes at least twice a day.

The water container is easily cleaned, and a great design that allows me to carry the filled container without spilling since the spout gets unplugged after the container is placed in the dish. The bases don't scoot around, but set firmly in place. The extra wide hole for filling the food works well and doesn't create spillage when poured from the bag.

Overall, I am very pleased with the price and the product.

Our dogs really like these feeders. The water feeder holds about 1-1/2 gallons. Our two large dogs empty this in about a day and a half. The feeder and dogs are inside most of the time. These are good quality and well made. I would buy these again.

We have two cats which we adopted a few months ago and needed to go away for the weekend. I did some research into self feeders and purchased this product based on the price and the reviews. I am very pleased with the product. Both cats immediately took to the water feeder without any hesitation. I feel the older cat even drinks more water than she previously did. The younger cat sometimes dips his paws in the water bowl and uses it to bath, but this doesn't prevent both cats from drinking from it. It is very easy to cleanI wipe it down with a cloth every few days. I have kept using the water feeder since receiving it, where I only used the food dispenser for the weekend we were away. I had no problems with it and that too is also easy to clean. It did not come with any instructions but to be honest you don't need any. Fill the lid with food and snap it to the gray bottom dispenser. I think some reviews noted problems with difficulty filling them and experiencing water spillage. I wonder if they did not tip the feeder upside down when securing the lid as I can't see how "water was everywhere". The description said colors vary but we received a very nice neutral color that I would describe as a washed out mint color. It is a nice color and would look nice in any room. For our purposes (weekend away), our two cats, and the price we paid, this product works very well.
