The cat tree was pretty much as-expected. We use it as a stairway up to the laundry room counter top for our older cat.The design is a bit marginal as far as strength. It's certainly strong enough for any cat to go up/down. However, the platforms are just held in by one screw to the center post. The lower step is a great place for a visiting child to try to sit. The way the shelf is cantilevered, it's not built to support the weight of a child. They could have made it stronger by putting an angle-brace underneath each shelf, which would have been smart.
Other than that, it serves its function. We'll see how long it lasts. Still probably the best we saw on the internet.
