Excellent dish that performs as advertised. This is BY FAR the best travel bowl we've ever encountered!

It is comprised of 3 pieces: the bowl, the donut-shaped lid (which snaps on and off for washing), and a slotted plate that floats inside, resting on the surface of the water.

We bought one of these for our RV, so we could leave some drinking water in it as we drove around. As expected, it works perfectly!

Then we noticed that the rim was also keeping water from slopping over the sides as our puppies drank, so we bought two more for the house. That was when we noticed how the floating piece seems to keep our puppies' muzzles drier than before, which means they don't even drip on the floor around the bowl as they walk away licking their lips. Bonus awesomeness!

I only wish it came in a larger-capacity size! Our little guys can go through 24 ounces in a single sitting!

This bowl is great it has not spilled, leaked or tipped over. Even after leaving it in the car for a week by accident. And being dishwasher safe is a huge plus!

the only problem I have is that it doesn't hold much water. The amount of slobber my dog puts all over my hardwoods is greatly reduced!

I use this for my messy water drinking cat. He always liked to dive his paw under the bowl and splash water. With this the velcro sticks to the carpet and he can't get his paw under it. He tried to the very first time and from now on he gave up, so now I haven't had to clean up any water spills.
