I have it in natural, and what I love about it is the looks. It's nice and neat and clean looking. It looks very well made. Every carpet-clad cat tree I've gotten has ended up shredded, with carpet yarns hanging down off the edges and sides. Even in a pristine condition, they are just not good looking items. My icky old tree is now hidden in the basement behind the fireplace and is still much beloved by my shy guy, Caesar. But the other two prefer this one. It's in the dining area and looks very good (considering there's a cat tree in my eating area); it's an open-floor-plan house, and this is the best spot for it.
The unit is well thought out and constructed (you assemble it; I had some questions, but found it easy to contact the guy that designed it (he has a video of the assembly on youtube if I remember correctly). If the carpet should get shaggy, the fact that it's modular allows you to just pull out the carpeted pieces and replace them (or the carpet, I guess). I expect this tree to last a very long time and to be worth the money.
[I do have another attractive unit situated in my bedroomReplus Cool Hues Cat Tree, made up of stacked boxes of diminishing size. None of my cats like to climb through it, Caesar likes to be on top, and practically leaps straight there, Digit is a little big for doing anything other than going in the big bottom hole on occasion, Punky "Psycho" Doodle is not allowed in my bedroom (long story which would involve a restraining order if humans were involved).]
