My cat had this tower since she was 4 months old and right now she is 5 years old! This tower is great for breaking it down to move to another place, or to put in trunk for road trips. 10 minutes to set up and break down. Simple! The catnip container keep falling off so I threw them away. But other than that, still great! My cat do scratch on it, play with the ball, and sleep on it too. All perfect.
My cat has had this for almost 6 years and it's still in great shape. He's a large, 17-pound Maine Coon, and this is perfect for him. He loves taking a siesta in the little "cave" as much as he enjoys perching on the top and watching the world go by. He scratches the heck out of the scratching posts, and it wasn't until recently that one of the ropes around the bottom post started coming loose. This isn't a product defect, it's just normal wear-and-tear (especially considering we've had this for quite a while and my cat is rather large). It cleans up really nicely too. I usually just vacuum it, and the hair comes off. My cat hasn't been interested in the attached toys, but that's more of his personality rather than the toys being uninteresting. The only con is that it's a little wobbly, so we have to make sure the top tier is wedged in a corner of the room so it doesn't shake. The wobbliness might be a result of my large cat, but it hasn't been a problem. Over the past 6 years, we've moved residences and this cat house has changed rooms multiple times. It has been sturdy and a great home for our cat. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this product and I'd buy it again if needed.
