My cats enjoy the dangling toys and will play with the hole and go underneath the bridge but will not scratch on it. Of course all cats are different but I was looking for something fun that they could scratch on. It is small and while I have small cats, only 6 months old, the hole is very small. In fairness, it does state "kittens". Not unhappy with purchase just not helping with my furniture scratching problem.
