This is an excellent toy. All three of my cats love it!First, it has the realistic Play-N-Squeak mouse sound. If you have never heard this sound, or have no cat toys by Play-N-Squeak, I urge you to get either this one or one of their grey mice (with the realistic mice squeak sound) that your cat can bat across the floor. With every bat, your cat will be treated to a realistic mouse squeak!
What is great about this one is that, long after it is no longer suitable as a wand toy -and that will be awhile because this one is well-built -you will still have the mouse for your cat to play with. Just cut off the cord and you have a mini Play-N-Squeak mouse! Voila! I would have been happy with this toy if it did not have the wand and only had the mouse itself, since I know how crazy my cats are for Play-N-Squeak mice. As an added bonus, this toy has feathers on the end of the mouse, and I do not expect those feathers to last given how hard my cats are on feather toys. But they will enjoy them while they are there!
When you unwrap the Play-N-Squeak Teaser Wand, you remove the plastic tab, and that releases the squeaking sounds inside the mouse. As you jiggle it in front of your cat, the squeaking sounds are motion-activated by your movements or when your cat reaches for his new toy.
Play-N-Squeak also builds in a delightful "bounce" quality into this teaser wand that is hard to explain, but is irresistible to my three cats. Plus they are of very sturdy construction, so will last a long time.
