Now, just on opening this flyer I was really taken aback. It feels much more flimsy than the regular red flyer (in fact, it is folded in half in the packaging). I wanted to try it out before reviewing. I've tried it, and it has been torn apart even faster than the red one.
The longest lasting frisbee so far has been this previous fire hose triangle flyer, but I haven't found that online (was in a pet supply store).
This was not really very strong, and I was disappointed since the traditional kong extreme treat-stuffer has lasted a long time. Oh well. I don't really recommend it if you have a strong dog. If you don't have a frisbee-destroying pup, I still recommend the red flyer, which is a few bucks cheaper usually.
UPDATE: I've found a frisbee that lasts! The Jawz hyperflite is a great, durable frisbee. Only downside: doesn't float (we lost the first one so far to Lake Washington, rather than my dog's over-exuberant playfulness... lasted for months though!)After about 4 or 5 (no exaggeration) tosses my 60 lb lab ripped a chunk out of it. I purchased this over the regular Kong frisbee because I thought it would be worth the extra money. This thing does not deserve any type of "Extreme" name on it. Ended up being a complete waste of money :(

My 1 1/2 year old pit mix tore this stupid thing in probably 5 minutes. That included fetching the frisbee, not simply chewing. I have had hard, plastic frisbees last longer. I expect more from KONG products.Read Best Reviews of KONG Extreme Flyer Dog Toy, Black Here
I have two German Shepherds that love to catch frisbees, chew them, play tug of war with them, etc. You can imagine, I'm sure, that normal frisbees last all of five minutes for them. My wife and I had used the red kong flyers for a year or so, and they were goodthey flew well and lasted about 3 months each before beginning to come apart. These, however, have been fully used & abused by my dogs for some weeks now, and you would never know it by looking at them. It's really pretty amazing, especially considering they're cheaper than the "tough" flyers you can buy at target. The ONLY complaint about them I could see someone making is that since they are so floppy, they're a little weird to throw, but I've gotten used to it. I would say I'm going to continue to buy these in the future, but if they hold up like they have so far, I may never need to!Extreme? This is thinner and flimsy compared to the red one. I thought well maybe its tougher material. My English Bulldog tore within 20 minutes of play. So not for strong chewing dogs IMO.
