My mother bought this for her grand-cat. While my older siamese was somewhat

interested and played with it intermittently, my tiny siamese girl is obsessed

with it.

She has played with it so much that the "squeaker" came out (not

to worry, encased in a large shell) and it now is a gray fluff ball with only

one bit of pink ear remaining.

Sunny entertains herself for hours, batting it around since it is small,

carrying it around from place to place, and hiding it from herself under

doors and rugs.

She shuns all other toys for her favorite one. I simply dredge it in

catnip occasionally and off she goes. I wish I were so easily thrilled!

Highly recommend for kittens and small cats who like something they can

easily handle and carry in their mouths. Hours of self-play for high-energy

kitties. Great toy--well worth every penny and more!

**I recommend you check toy and replace occasionally to prevent squeaker

being removed if you have larger pets or children. This has not been a

problem for me. My cat's mouth is too small for ingestion and I simply

threw it out when I found it.

My small indoor cat plays with everything. I keep buying her new toys, but she loses interest and goes back to playing with anything I wish she wouldn't. Well, that's over with, now that I got her this little toy. She's crazy for it, and can't seem to get enough. I am a little sick of the chirping sound, but honestly, I prefer that to her playing with MY stuff!

My cat only likes THIS squeeky play mouse. I was so worried when our pet store stopped carrying them. We bought several different mice but she wasn't interested. And by that time these mice looked like little green cotton balls they were so ragged. What a relief to find them online. She will play with it then meow really loudly over it until we come and congratulate her. There is just something about this mouse, it's her fav!

I despise the way this toy chirps but my cat loves it so terribly that I cannot bring myself to bin it. Unfortunately this particular Play-N-Squeak mouse has not held up as well as the larger model (Play-N-Squeak Mouse Hunter) that I still have. Within a week of play the threads had frayed and been pulled almost completely out of toy. Not wanting to kill the fun early, as this particular toy squeaks at a much faster and irritating rate than the larger version (perhaps annoying me is part of the feline enjoyment factor) I sewed it up as best as possible. A few days later and it had been tugged to shreds again, the fabric itself also heavily damaged by rambunctious nocturnal hunting trips across the carpeted savannah of the living room.

I have to say that this line of toys is a favorite for all of my cats and because this toy is noted to be for "kittens" it may be the larger cats that have given it such a beating. However, the only difference that I can see when comparing it side by side is that the material used to make it is of a lesser quality and the size is smaller. I cannot imagine any company would make a kitten toy weaker than one for an adult cat considering how close a kitten is to a complete maniac when it comes to chewing, biting, scratching, and doing those adorable death roll back flips on the floor with a toy secured in their sharp little teeth. As such I can only assume that the size is what factored into the kitten label as the full size version for an adult cat is well over double the girth.

I am hesitant to purchase this toy again because even though it is adored by my fuzzy wards it's not particularly durable. The adult line is fantastic and has stood up to countless hours of scratching, biting, pouncing, and smacking without ever losing a chirp. While this toy is a bit louder and has a faster frequency to the noise that my feline friends adore it's not worth it to buy when there's a far better Play-N-Squeak mouse on the market. Make no mistake this is a great brand, even my grumpy 16 year old cat will come over to kiss it with her teeth, this particular toy isn't up to the quality of their other offerings.
