We got this for our Golden Retriever puppy when she outgrew her plastic crate. It is light and airy with alot of vertical head space. Access is easy with 3 different zippered doors! Best of all it folds into a neat, flat package so can easily be stored or transported. The fabric is fairly heavy duty type canvas with heavy plastic mesh on the doors. It wouldn't be the crate if you have a dog that isn't crate trained or is willing to chew through anything to get out. Most dogs wouldn't even want to get outit is very roomy and well ventilated. The only negative I have to say is the friction fit of the inside poles that fit together is tight and a bit difficult to put together. Taking it apart is a breeze. I'am hoping with time this relaxes a bit and it is less of a struggle. All and all it is deluxe and we love it! Also a great deal here on Amazon!I am very dissapointed that this crate still emits toxic fumes after sitting outside for 5 days. I have not been able to use it because of it. I cannot, in good conscience, put my dog in this crate if the fumes irritate me that badly. It's hard to imagine what this must feel like to a dog with much better senses beside the fact that this has potential to cause cancer. I am not sure if the fumes are from the material or from something they sprayed on it (fire retardent, water repellent, etc.) but it is not healthy by the smell of it.
The pad inside is too lightweight but I purchased a separate super thick orthopedic (eco-friendly does not emit fumes) pad from Walmart which fits in it really well.
Otherwise, I love the crate. It is lightweight, great side entrance, and I really like the green color. Now, if we could just start using it....

I bought this for our golden retriever puppy, as a second crate for transporting, and for some mornings when she goes to my office. I waited to use it until I knew she was house-trained. Until then, I trained her with a Precision wire crate since it has a divider. To initially train a puppy to not do their business in a crate, this is important. When she became house-trained at 11 weeks, I started using the EliteField crate, she wanted to bite at the velcro tabs and the zippered edges. I sprayed bitter apple on them a few different times to teach her they were yucky, and now she just leaves them alone. She and I LOVE this crate. It is so lightweight, yet sturdy, and collapses or sets-up in an instant. To make life easier, I just purchased a second EliteField crate to keep at my office for the few mornings a week I take her in. The original EliteField crate stays in my car since we will be on the go often in training her to become a therapy dog. She feels comfortable and safe with a blanket and all her toys in her little "fort". Another reason I like it so much is that the wire crate really rattled when driving. This one is just a peaceful place for her to feel safe. She travels well and never minds it at all.
