I bought this for outdoor use, but plopped it on top of a photograph on the wall when I took it out of the shipping box. It's so cute, it's still there. I plan on buying another one or two for outside. It's a bit smaller than I thought, but it is solid plastic with a wood grain perfect for outdoor use.

THE PRODUCT IS NOT THE SIZE OF A CAT AND DOESN'T LOOK LIKE A KITTEN. I WAS A LITTLE LEARY ABOUT THE SIZE BEFORE I ORDERED IT. BUT I TOOK THE CHANCE. IT SHOULD BE BIGGER. SO IT DOESN'T REALLY LOOK LIKE IT'S A REAL CAT, IT WOULD BE PERFECT IF IT WAS. IT LOOKS SORTA OKAY BUT NOT REAL AND IF THAT'S WHAT YOU AS I WAS LOOKING FOR, I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND IT. I purchased this cat silhouette many, many years ago (maybe before I ever heard of Amazon). It has been sitting on top of a picture in my bedroom ever since. It is in just as good condition now as the day I bought it. It is made of plastic, but with an embedded wood-grain appearance. I have another version where the cat is reclining. They appear to look at one another. I'm glad to see that they are still available.
