Petlinks System Scooter Balls Kitten Toy

I have been getting these for my cats for years now as it is their favorite toy. You cannot imagine my dismay when the latest shipment of them arrived; they had changed the size. The old scooter balls were about 1.25 inches in diameter. The new model is about twice that size. My male kitty loves to bat the scooter balls under the door and retrieve them in a catch the toy game. The new scooter balls are too large to fit under the door and my cats don't play with them near as often as they did the old smaller size. I do hope they bring the old smaller ones back. I e-mailed petlinks about this but did not receive the courtesy of a reply.

As others have said, my cat LOVES scooter balls and I have always kept a few stashed away for her. When these new ones arrived I was so disappointed in the size. They are HUGE. No where near the size of the original scooter balls and my cat ignores them. So sad. Wish the manufacturer would go back to the small size.

These scooter balls were the only toy that my cat played with, exclusively. She carried them around the house announcing her catch and played happily with them until they fell apart (fairly quickly actually). Recently, she was running low on them, so I placed an order with Petco for several replacements. The balls that arrived were beyond gigantic! How could these new scooter balls be intended for kittens?? My cat isn't tiny at 12 pounds, but even she refuses to pick them up and shows little interest in them. We're quite unhappy about the size change and returned the remaining balls. Now we'll need to start a search for something she'll actually play with. So disappointing....

I bought these toys because my little kittens are always attacking and playing with everything that they see. I was hoping that the kittens would love this toy. At times they may play with it. Usually they only show interest in the toy if someone throws it for them to attack. The toy is bigger than I thought which may be the reason why they do not play with it that much.

These balls are, by a huge margin, the favorite toys for my 2 cats. They have a couple of dozen different toy options but it's not even a competition for some reason they just love these rattly little zebra print ball things with pastel-tone dangly bits.

NB. I haven't noticed a change in size like other reviewers mentioned.
