Our very playful kitty immediately fell in love with this toy! I dragged it around the house for him for quite some time, which he enjoyed immensely, and then he spent hours gnawing on it by himself in the corner. He doesn't usually go bananas for catnip, so I think it's something about the material that he loves. Unfortunately, the toy hasn't lasted even 24 hours! To be fair, he loves chewing, and he tends to destroy toys quickly, so cats without his oral fixation may have better luck with it. Honestly, he's been so happy with this toy, it was probably worth the money despite the short lifespan. I may even order another!
If the cat doesn't chew but just plays, this toy works great! I only gave this three stars because I only got to play with my cat for 3 days before he mutilated the toy :). That can be looked at as good or bad. Hope this helps for all cat lovers out there.

We wanted something a bit more natural and without feathers like so many cat toys have. We tried these and my boys went NUTS!! These are the only toys they want to play with now and they will play with them even after they have reduced them to a tangle of raffia pieces.I hoped this would keep my kitten's teeth happy and keep her away from wires and things (she's destroyed a number of thin wires like speaker wires and such). No such luck. The string end broke on day one, and the kitten doesn't seem much interested in the ball it's too big. It just isn't something she's interested in.
