Although the brush is small it not only works great on my maltese but is also very effective for my westies. This is a soft brush and is best used if there are no snarls or matting.

I have two Chihuahua mixes, and this small brush is perfect for their short hair. I'd like to note, it would be pretty useless on a long hair dog. It is small, but it allows me to brush their legs and undersides without any awkwardness.

This is an overpriced and useless brush. It is similar to a soft bristle nail care brush. Our dog has fine silky hair. The brush does not do anything to separate or detangle the hair. Just flattens it down, like you might with your bare hand. The brush looks cute, but does not accomplish anything.

This was a much better price than at the local pet stores. Since her hair is somewhat thick, this brush is not the ultimate grooming tool. However, it can be used more often to get your pup used to grooming and to loosen up snarls before using the stiffer detangling brush; which can really pull.
