I want to make it clear this review is just for the fact that it is for smaller cats, or kittens. The quality of this product is great, very easy to assemble, however my cat who isn't even a large cat can basically only use the lounge bed that sticks off to the side and the top part of the condo. The condo is very nice quality and looks great. However if you have a medium size cat this item isn't for them.

The product arrived promptly and was well packaged. It assembled quickly with easy to follow instructions. The tool required for assembly was included so nothing additional was required. The basic structure is made of a fiberboard closer to cardboard than wood. It was priced about half of what the wood units were in the local pet store and I would guess that the fiberboard was the reason behind it. One month into use and everything seems solid. It will be interesting to see how it holds up.

The cat immediately made it her own and spends most of her down time on the top perch. During the spastic moments the entire unit becomes a playground. The sissal rope columns are an easy scale for her and the hidy holes and rope are a favorite distraction. The only flaw in the unit was the kitting people included one long screw in place of a short one. This left some play in one of the toys. No real problem here and would be an easy fix if I was really disturbed by it.

I agree with the man who said, this would be the correct size for a kitten, not a full size cat. I have 3 cats and none of then can fit in the hamack, bowl, house, etc. The base on most all trees I'm finding are not sturdy enough, this is no exception. I had to build a base and screw it under the original base. I wish they would let people know average size cats can't fit, and they can direct us appropriately. I would have loved this in a adult size.

This is a big tree for the money. As other users stated, it is very hard. Like plush glued to the hardest wood ever. I have a smaller tree that is padded with carpet that my cat prefers because she is older. I think this tree would be perfect for 2 kittens. The side basket is too small for my cat and she's not a very big cat. Sadbecause I thought she'd like that part the best.

I just set this up last night and too late realized that this should be labeled "Kitten Condo" not "cat condo". All of the hidey holes are much too small for my 12 and 13 pound cats. Even the bed is way too small for them.

The top perch and the flat shelves are the only place they can sit or lay.

At first they investigated, but after a bit they realized there was no place to hide or play. There were missing screws and the compartment on the middle shelf had no way to anchor the unit and there were missing screws to mount the ladder.

Hopefully after a while they will start to use the unit or this was a big waste of money.
