Bought to replace another aging cat tree. Our cat loves to clean her claws on carpet. I was looking into replacing the worn out carpet on the last one we had for her but it was glued and stapled on, and my wife wanted to get something new for her..Our cat loves the Hideout part of this tree, it's an instant winner on that end. The scratch posts perform about average to other ones I've seen used. I think most people will place this against a wall or in a corner but because the base is lighter and the same size as the top part, it isnt immune to being tipsy.
It's pretty typical of all cat trees found at pet stores, If there's anything to criticize it's the quality of the carpet. My guess is that the thickness or pile of the carpet is cost related. I just wish it was a little more durable since they seem to last our 1 cat about 6 months before becoming stripped. However, because of the way the carpet is attached on to the leg, I might actually be able to replace it easily at least it looks that way. I will update when it comes to that time.
