Was very pleased with the product. My cat doesn't like any catnip toys unless they have some very potent catnip in them and this one succeeded easily. My cat went for the package while still in the shipping container!
My issue with the packaging is that the item is attached to the backing card with those translucent, plastic, double-ended tethers, where they shoot one end of it into the product, and the other through the back of the card. In this case, they used the cheapest, tiniest, near-invisible tether imaginable, such that after cutting it, it was difficult to track down the remaining plastic piece in the cat toy. I mention this because I can see this posing some risk for a cat if the owner for whatever reason failed to remove it (maybe thinking it fell out, for example). The tethers (there are two of them) also aren't long enough to make cutting them any easier. I understand companies wanting to cut costs, but how much more really would somewhat larger, and colored (thus visible) tethers really be?
The other thing about this product is that the pocket for the catnip does not seal. It is also shallow. So when you put the catnip in, you can only add a little at a time, then you have to try tuck it away from the opening (down into the back legs appeared to be the only option), then you can add a little more. The product includes a small cellophane envelope of catnip. The pouch, while it doesn't seal, has some folds, so I am hoping that will suffice to hold up under play to keep the herbs from falling out.

By comparison, at the same time I bought this, I also bought a similar product made by Kong, which is better. I didn't even realized I'd ordered toys made by two different manufacturers until I received them. So you might want to also check out the similar Kong cat toys as well.

They play with it once in awhile but it's not their favorite toy. I think maybe the catnip wasn't as strong so when I get a new batch of 'nip, I'll refill it and try it again.
