Play-N-Squeak Ruff-N-Tumble

Play-N-Squeak Ruff-N-TumbleThe title says most of it. This mouse is made of rough rope that attracts claws naturally and holds up well to our two cats playing with it nearly every day. While some of the rope has been pulled away from the plastic body that encloses the squeaker, it has held up well. The frayed rope seems to entice them more!

I only gave 4/5 because if you are a light sleeper, you might want to put this in a drawer for the night. I am a heavy sleeper, but the spouse is not and will wake up if the cats play with this for very long. During the day, however, it is not bothersome.

Within a week the rope around the mouse was coming unravelled. This is not a well made product. Cats need something they can play with without it falling apart. It can even be dangerous if pieces of the toy come off and they can choke on it.

Kitty loves all of the mice made by Play-N-Squeak. But she prefers the cloth covered ones, which are easier to grab in her mouth when we play fetch. The fuzzier ones also more closely resemble the real thing. But if your cat has a tendency to chew the heck out of these play mice, get this one, which is a bit tougher to disassemble.

Kitty says two non-opposable thumbs up.

From the moment I put it on the floor, this cute little sisal mouse lived up to it's name... 'play n squeak' and 'ruff n tumble'. My cat took to it straight away. Poking. Prodding. Pushing. Flipping. Flinging. Batting. All the kitty prey and play actions. It looks tough and with the rumble action of a very active 10 month kitten, it will need it.

The synthetic 'squeak' also becomes very melodic when kitty is really in for the rough and tumble. Quite pleasing to the ears.

A runner up to the mouse ball, but a must have for the kitty play house
