Four Paws Fire Hose and 3-Inch Rubber Ball Tug, Orange

My German Shepherd is a natural retriever which makes exercising him easy. I've found a ball on a rope makes my job (throwing) easier as it helps get some air and distance. The Aqua Kong was a great solution, but it only lasted a few weeks at best before the nylon rope was either shredded or pulled out. The fire hose material on the Four Paws toy is much, much tougher and can stand up to repeated abuse I've found I can actually swing my dog in circles by this toy as he is clamped on to it, no simple feat with a 92-pound animal. The toy stays outside in the elements and stand up well to getting wet and left in the sun to dry, though it sinks in deep water after the foam in the handle end of the hose deteriorates. I average about 6 months on them before the hose eventually breaks. At that point the ball is usually beginning to disintegrate anyway and it's time for a new one. I keep a spare on hand for such emergencies! Definitely a durable product for a powerful, active dog.

The strap is great. It will last a long time. Wish the ball had better bounce, but honestly, the dogs love it. It's all about them.
