My kitties love these and they seem to be more durable than the lattice type ones that tend to get stepped on and crushed so frequently. These are so fragile and my kitties love them just as much. It breaks my heart when I accidentally step on one of their plastic balls and crush them. My kitties look at the smashed ball and look at me like I just killed their best friend. So I like the ones that are more durable, like these. Not so many broken hearts. I really do recommend these for folks (like me) who tend to step on the kitty toys scattered around the house.

This is the only type of toy my kitten will play with! She really prefers a slightly harder, bouncier texture, but these balls stil have her chasing, pouncing, and fetching for hours.

My cats love these balls, and the good news is that they have a smaller, less noisy bell inside, so their 3 am soccer games in the bathroom don't usually wake me up. The balls are also sturdier than the normal waffle type balls, so if you step on one, they don't crack as readily. Win-win.

I purchased these balls for a hunting platform of my newly purchased Cat Power Tower. Although my kittens loved pushing them out of the openings and then chasing them around the bedroom, the balls lasted only a few days before they warped and needed to be thrown out. There is a piece of round plastic that is inside to make a noise but it did not hold the attention of the cats for long. More importantly, it could pose a choking hazard to your felines or to other pets or young children that may be present.

I am always amazed at how different cats are in their toy preferences. I have one cat that plays with everything except plastic toys; he won't even touch them. Of my other three cats, two of them will play with this ball only. The other plastic balls I have purchased have a very nubby texture, while these do not. It's the only difference I can see.
