Petstages Twinkle Ball

Petstages Twinkle BallSomeone who doesnt know cats invented this...hard dense material that the average paw would not easily swat. My cats were very tentative as the red lights were flashing wildly, this is not a suitable replacement for the red beam laser toy that requires interactive play of owner/cat. I bought two thinking to share this great new idea with my kids who all have cats, not one cat out of 3 found this a toy of interest.

Our kitties love to play & are pretty adventurious, but they did like this ball at all. The "twinkle" scared them, and the lighting only lasted for about 2 days (not long enough for them to even get use to it). The texture of the ball is rubbery, and not so appealing to cats. This item was not a hit at all. Save your money.

Every now and again my cats will bring my daughter one of their toys, so I have to make sure they're all baby safe. I was shopping for a new toy the other day with my 8-month-old daughter, and SHE picked this one. She loves it! It lights up, so she can practice the words "on," "off," and "ball." It is made out of the type of rubber to interest teething cats, so my daughter likes to chew on it when she is teething. It is also small enough for her to grip it well but not too small to be a choking hazard. I was thinking this would make a great toy for church... :)

I have been looking for a light-up ball for night time play with my dog, who is only about 20 pounds. Most of the light up balls are much too large, so I thought this would be a good option. This worked well and he loved the lights, even during the daytime in the house. Unfortunately, the plastic was not durable enough to stand up to a dog's jaws, even a small dog. There is a small circle of plastic that popped off immediately. The lights roll around inside the casing and I was afraid to leave him alone with this from that point forward. We only got about 1.5 days out of this. I gave it three stars anyway because it wasn't really intended for dogs. I eventually bought him Nite Ize MTLP-08-07 MeteorLight K-9 Led dog ball, and even though it is larger in size, he is able to carry it and LOVES it. It is also much more durable and safer, the battery compartment fits snugly inside the ball. I still don't allow him to have it unsupervised, but I don't feel like I have to keep my eyes on him at all times with it.

I bought this ball when my two kittens were around 4~6 month old last year, and since then non of them touched it or get interested in the stupid flashing red light, the battery died out quickly (less then month) I wished soo badly of seeing my cute kittens playing with the ball so I decided to buy 3 new batteries for the ball and I had really hard time replacing the battery to new one, but after hours of trying, finally I got the new battery inside. However, the red light never worked again...

THIS IS WASTE OF MONEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY, EVEN DOESN'T DESERVE SINGLE STARRRRRRRRRRRRR
