Kitty Hoots Catfisher Whipper Snapper Toy Wand

I've tried the $0.99 versions of this item, and they simply don't hold up. My kittens delighted as much in chewing through the elastic rope of most toys as they did in getting after whatever was at the end. The fact that this is made with wire is a huge plus. I was a bit wary, as I thought it might upset or hurt them to bite the wire, but they do not seem affected in the least. This toy will easily last 6x as long as those made with an elastic cord, and possibly forever. I'm pretty sure that the toy at the end can be replaced with a bit of finagling, as it's attached with a small loop of sturdy cord.

I agree that the button on the rod seems purposeless. You can just shake the rod to make the toy bounce; in fact, it's hard *not* to make it bounce. Still, I can easily award this product 4 stars for its durability alone.

I bought this for my Bengal cat thinking it would be a variation of "daBird" which he loves but destroys way too fast. My Catfisher was either broken on arrival or the button on it is useless, pressing it does nothing other than sink the button into its plastic casing. This product needs to be reworked as the handle is awkward to hold amongst other things, discontinuation of this product will probably come before then.

Save your money and avoid this supposed cat toy you could most likely make yourself.

When I got mine, the button did not work If there's a battery inside, it's probably dead. The cats love playing with it (just swinging it around). It's cheaper than other wands, so I'm giving it 3 stars.
