Bought to clip on a walking belt, used to hydrate one 83 pound dog on long summer (here in Houston that means April through about November...sigh) walks. Bought small to be easy to carry, and when expanded it is big enough for some serious drinking, yet small enough it's not intrusive hanging on outside of our walking pack. The carabiner is nice addition, but takes two hands to thread cup back on carabiner and then rehook. (Think the hang hole on cup could be a tad bigger and round (though the weird hole shape makes sense from a structural integrity standpoint?). Overall, just what these dog walkers needed! It collapses neatly, but is reasonably stable when extended for use.

Its a big larger than I expected (I didn't take the time to refer to a ruler) but it does its job just fine. Some people complain that their bowls dont stay expanded. If it doesn't work properly, I recommend you process a return. Amazon is one of the most customer-friendly businesses in the industry; I have no doubt that they would right the situation. This bowl is definitely worth having for anyone who worries about their dog dehydrating during long summer walks. My dog is hesitant about drinking out of most travel bowls but seems to actually enjoy this one.

This is collapsible and fits easily into a small space that way I can give my dog water while we are on the move. She appreciates that too.
