Catit Design Senses Speed Circuit

Catit Design Senses Speed CircuitI purchased the holiday bundle for my cat as a Christmas gift. I thought it will get her on her feet more and into a playing mood. I was right, she thoroughly enjoys it, as do I. Every morning she waits for her treats and I love watching her getting it out of the treat dispenser. She is more active and more vocal (she is a very quiet cat). It took her a while to warm up to the circuit, but now she excepts it as her toys and a place to get yummy treats.

Not only is it good for my cat but it also looks very nice in my house. The items are very modern looking and looks more like abstract art than cat toys. We all LOVE it.

I love this company and I think they come up with very useful toys. I own the regular Catit circuit and love it. I thought this would be even more fun but it wasn't tested too well. My cat would spend an hour several times a day with the flat layout but the "hills" and "valleys" are too high for my cat to push the ball over easily and then there isn't enough speed going for the ball to go over the next hill and it would just sit in the valley. He became frustrated quickly. I tried adding some flat track so the ball might get up enough speed but that didn't happen either. The concept is great but needs to be much lower hills, more gradual and tested to see if cats will paw it enough to sent it flying. Unfortunately, his negative experience affected his play with the flat track for a few days but it is his favorite toy again. Also, the lighted ball was a distraction. I would push it to make it light up and he would stare at it until it quit flashing. That was interesting, but he would push it at all and I had to use the non-lighted ball I already had to even test the Speed Circuit. I am returning this product but will never return my flat track.

Pros:

Amazing Designed Track/Study the cat tried to chew and rip it apart, but it's very sturdy and locks into place

You can switch the track

Cats paws fit (I have a 15 pound cat and his fat paws fit in there just fine)

If your cat gets bored, just change the track and you will regain his attention.

Cons:

You have to have a cat that likes toys and ripping stuff apart/opening things to get your money's worth from this. One cat won't play with toys, but my other plays with this toy for hours.

I took this youtube video of her well into her 2nd non-stop hour of playing after it arrived:

I think it speaks for itself, but if not, she is crazy about this. I can't wait to get more pieces and eventually take it away and bring it back as something totally new again :) I got the "like new" version from the warehouse for $10 and it's perfect $20 would have been a little much, but for all that love I still wouldn't have complained.

Edit I just switched from the whole track to the circle and she's excited like it's new again :)

There are two of these Catit circuits. One has a lighted ball and the other does not. I bought both.

The one without the lighted ball has a track with less steep peaks, so the ball rolls through easier, but the blue tunnel covers come off too easily. My cat is really smart and good at disassembling things, so she removed those and the ball was hidden under the couch for quite a while before I located it.

The one with the lighted ball has steeper peaks so the ball doesn't glide through as easily, but the tunnel covers stay in place extremely well. She can't remove these. I thought she would be thrilled with the lighted ball, but it sort of frightens her.

I wound up joining the two circuits together to make one super windy, awesome S shaped track with one ball in it. She can't stop playing with this thing. Some nights I have to take the ball out of it or she'll spend the whole night chasing the ball through the track and I'll hear, roll.... slap.... slide... swoosh the whole night. She will play with me with the track and sometimes my other cat even gets interested and he generally has no interest in toys. If you have a playful cat that looks at everything as a toy, your cat will be delighted with this.

Aside from the tunnel tops being so easily removed, I kind of prefer the one without the lighted ball. I believe it is slightly cheaper, too.
