I bought this product for my elderly mother to replace the cloth cat pad she had been using which was ... well ... disgusting. She has two cats and a small house so her litter box is in the bathroom right next to the toilet. What drew me immediately to this product was a) the fact that it wasn't cloth and b) it matches her grey bathroom! She ended up trimming the back off of the mat so that it fits perfectly into the space she has, but even that speaks to the quality of the product; it cut clean and still retains all of its functionality. She loves that she isn't stepping on stray litter any longer and that she can just use the dustpan and brush to sweep up the caught litter or a sponge to clean the surface. She commented the other day that it would be just as easy to pick the whole mat up and carry it to the garbage (during BIG cleaning days) because it is thick and won't collapse and spill any litter. My mother is kinda a picky lady (not into change), so the fact that she immediately installed and adores this mat says volumes about it. No doubts that this will stay for many years and not have to be replaced! Awesome. Am hoping this company comes out with more products!
Before this mat, cleaning up litter that they flung from their feet was something that I did several times a day. I don't have to do that any more.
The grid in the mat material, as well as the solid depression, grab hold of the litter before it hits the rest of the floor. Then all you have to do is vacuum it up or better yet, use a whisk broom and dust pan to sweep it up and put it back into the box, with no waste of litter.
As an added nicety, the color and pattern are eye pleasing and blend nicely with any decor.
I would definitely recommend this and wish that I had found it years ago.

I ordered this and returned it in favor of the Wenzel Convoluted Camp Pad (Green) (also purchased on Amazon). The camp pad appears to be the same material, but is twice as large and twice as thick for slightly more than half the price. I cut it with a razor knife and now have two pads.The petfusion color scheme is definitely nicer looking, but I can't justify $20 for one pad when I can get two for $13.00 made from material that is twice as thick. So choose it for style if you like, but for pure function, the camp pad is a much better value.

Short Review: I can't understand the positive reviews this product gets....any $5 kitchen mat would do just as good of a job but unfortunately I paid $20 for this.Extended Review: We have two litter boxes for two cats inside a utility room with a cat door in the wall for them to get out. On the outside I bought a small half moon mat by SmartScoop that worked decently. It's a mesh-y material that captures some of the litter. And on the inside I purchased this mat. The problem is this is really just a grey colored FLAT mat. It's grey so the litter kind of blends in but there is almost no texture to it so it doesn't really trap anything. The pictures of the product must show some of the smallest crushed up litter available. I use standard Tidy Cat scoop-able litter and this mat doesn't stop anything. I will most likely either go back to some grey colors indoor/outdoor carpet which works decently or the SmartScoop full sized mat. Either way I'm very disappointed with the performance of this mat.

This product is simply a small yoga mat with an identation around the edges. Its the exact same material. I have no idea how you'd manage to keep litter from getting on the floor unless you swept it off everytime kitty used his box. There's simply nowhere for the little pieces to get stuck. For the same price, I could have bought a full size yoga mat, cut it in half and had two of them.I returned mine.
