BUT... if you have a dog like a doberman or g.shepherd or any hyper dog they will be able to reach the wound still or slip it off, so make sure you get the right size.
I have a regular e-colar cone I use for the 1st 4 days of surgery to assure the dog can't get to his boo-boo and use this inflatable 4 post recovery.
I learned it the hard way (trips to vet $$$) so trust me. I used Both cone AND this inflatable for my dobbie and shepherd who could still reach their injured spot.
I highly recommend it!!
P.S. Got XL and have to exchange for L. It is too big for my rotties and my giant shepherd. So get L size, u want it tight!

Bought this for my 1 year old German Shepherd after she got spayed. Its a HUGE improvement over the lampshade/cone style e-collar. Compared to the e-collar, this is infinitely more comfortable for the dog and they don't bump into EVERYTHING with it on. I would highly recommend buying this in advance of any surgery for your dog. Just make sure to buy the appropriate size. Our GSD was right on the line between sizes, so we bought the XL size. It was a little too big and she was able to get a paw in between her neck and the velcro strap. Once she did this, she could get it in her mouth and from there she punctured the vinyl of the cloud collar and it no longer holds air. It lasted 3 days which was enough time for her to heal to the point that we didn't have to worry about her licking.*edit* if your dog is having surgery to a paw, legs, tail, or hind regions, you may need to stick to the cone style e-collar or a different product. It will not prevent your dog from reaching these areas. With the cloud collar on, she could still reach her tail and butt, and all 4 paws and legs, but it was just enough to keep her from getting to the incision site on her abdomen. However my dog does have a longer torso which may have had something to do with it. If my dog were a male being neutered, he probably still would have been able to lick the incision site.
Recommendations for buyers: Remove the tags from your dog's normal collar while its attached to the cloud to save weight. This will help to prevent gravity from sliding the velcro to the bottom where the dog can get a paw in.
Future improvements: make the velcro on the cloud itself longer so the strap doesn't hang loose. I had to use a zip tie so my dog wouldn't bite and pull on it.

Collar was awful!!! Complete waste of money. We have a 6 month old great dane puppy and we got this for him. Within 6 hours it had a hole in it and no longer stayed inflated. What's worse, is that I tried to contact the seller for a refund and still have not heard a response for that and don't anticipate I will. Definitely NOT worth the money and the seller is not winning any awards in my book either. Stick to a more traditional e-collar, at least they are reliable.I am not telling you it does not work but it does not work for my dog, no matter how much air I put in he can knock it off in less than 1 minute. I will admit I do have very smart dogs, however the photo shows a Roddie wearing this and I doubt it because they use their paws to open the Velcro. I would have returned it if we never tried to use it, it was a very expensive to throw out.
