I bought this for my Sun Conure not realizing just how big it is. He already has a similar toy shaped more like a football in pale orange that is more his size. This is meant more for a large parrot not a conure. I use it to put small wood chew toys in it since it is way too big to hold any food he could eat, but probably great for whole nuts. The rubber is very think and appears to be very strong; a conure could never damage it. The bell has the best sound I have ever heard in a bird toy. I just love the sound of it. The ball is sold without the bells inside as a large dog toy so you know it is strong.

This toy is so much fun!! Keeps my macaw busy for hours and he gets a treat!! I shove some almonds, peanuts and dried fruit in it!!

This is my jenday conure's favorite toy. He never gets tired of swinging on it and trying to get at the bell. I agree with the other reviewer that the bell sound is very good. My conure has been playing very rough with this toy for over a year and it holds up well. It is also easy to clean. After he is done wildly attacking it and ringing the bell, he snuggles with this toy. I would buy him another because he loves it so much, but it's so strong I don't think it will ever break.

I got this toy for my Parrot Ben and he loves it he likes to get to the bell inside this toy. by the way he is African Grey. he just loves to play with that toy alot it is safe for the Grey so if you have a parrots get this toy.

Again, another great toy except for the fact that the chain/hook is magentic which means its made from zinc. I replaced the chain/hook with cotton rope and everything is fine.

Always test anything metal with a magnet. If the magnet connects, then the item is deadly to your parrot and needs to be replaced with a stainless steel version of the metal part or cotton rope!!!! Many parrots die from lead and zinc!!! Any avian vet will tell you about the tragic suffering and deaths of many beloved birds!

Zinc is used in many toys due to its cheap cost.

It is true that a magnet will connect to stainless steel. However, with lead and zinc based metals, the magnet connection will be much stronger than with a stainless steel material. Iron is also magnetic but covered with non-toxic paint makes it safe for birds. It is better to be safe than sorry since the zinc/lead issue is a huge silent killer with pet birds that many people are unaware of.
