Advantage for Cats Under 9 Lbs. ~~ 4 Months

I am writing this review so that other people will not be caught by this like I was. We have six cats to treat (4 ours 2 daughter's} and this looked like a great bargain. Twelve tubes of Advantage or 2 months treatment for six cats. We are trying to get the cats treated before cold weather sets in and they are in the house more.

When the package arrived I was surprised to find only 4 tubes of Advantage when the product description on Amazon stated and I quote it -

"British Advantage is the same as US Advantage, but it is packaged in kilos instead of pounds. It is made in the same Bayer factory. It is legal for an individual to import it for their own use, but it cannot be resold in the US. This order consists of three boxes of 4 vials each, for a total of 12 treatments for one dog."

I don't blame the seller for Amazon's misprint or whatever it is. The seller(Discount Flea) responded promptly and offered to send me a postage paid envelope to return the product for a refund. Since the price is still a good price for four tubes of Advantage, I declined their offer.

The three stars for the review is not for the product, it is for the misrepresentation in the product description. FYI Discount Flea is no longer offering the product for sale through them due to this. FIVE STARS TO DISCOUNT FLEA.

I like using the advantage over any other product. The fleas stay away all month and the price is great! Arrived on time!

I've tried the "other" brands and this stuff is by far the best. My 3 cats were going crazy with the fleas chewing them up and within 24 hours we were ALL much happier.

My cat was in perfect health other than a possible case of fleas (I'm not even sure of that) so I took him to the vet for the first time in YEARS for a flea bath. Instead of a flea bath the vet put this poison on my cat. The very next day my cat began refusing to eat or drink anything, and would just lay on the floor and not move. I called the vet who told me the flea medication couldn't POSSIBLY harm him because "it's FDA-approved" (what a load of B.S.!!!). Anyway, this continued for nearly a week until my cat became nothing but skin & bones and was suffering terribly. We finally accepted the fact that it wasn't going to get better & had to take it in to be put down. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Bayer killed my cat with this poison!!! Come to find out this stuff can overload a cat's system & cause liver failure! Now I remember why I stay the heII away from doctors (including vets).

skeeter is quite small and advantage is the only one that can be used on her. she is now 6yrs old and i have tried others but they dont work like advantage
